Buck, there is absolutely no way you can defend him.
If I remember correctly he defended James Coley to the very end also. You can say that he is loyal, at the least.

If you watch a lot of college football, no one looks great to me at qb. I think offense and defense have created a bizarre trend, not just UGA or Beck, it across the board. TAMU original qb looked bad, Nuesmyer looked bad, Dart looks bad.
We are winning, just enjoy that. Part of me wonders if first half Bama wasn't t possibly the unencrypted communications issue that has been discussed at a few other games.
This is by far Kirbys best work as a coach. He is making chicken salad out of this year's team.

I think there is some truth to this.
I mean realistically what QB even has a shot at the Heisman this year, I hear people talking about the RB from Boise, but that about it.
However, it is becoming a little concerning that Beck has gone a little rouge, last year I can’t remember him forcing the ball as much as he has done this year, now that the Heisman talk should die out for him maybe he will be smarter with the ball?
I think everyone was expecting some drop off losing Ladd, Bowers, and Ra Ra, but I don’t think anyone was expecting Beck to just starting forcing throws, throwing into double/triple coverage, straight up overthrowing WRs even if it “hits them in the hands”.

That's just it, we had the best te in the history of college football, McConkey was damn near as reliable as Bowers, and Jack Saint a stud.
They created space but also won the contested throws.
Add to it that we have a depleted running back room forcing us to throw and our WRs brought in to help getting tossed for domestic violence.
That gives you the product we are seeing. That said, Texas was supposed to have the 2 best qbs and we dropped 4-5 into those guys threw to our dbs.....

I think everyone believed there would be some drop off, personally I believed with how Kirby has recruited that this would be a “reload year” instead of a rebuild year.
If someone from the future would have told me that Carson Beck would have multiple games with 3+ interceptions and we somehow would only have one loss, I wouldn’t believe them.
I’m concerned with how much he’s forcing the ball, I understand that “shite happens”, but when you are forcing said shite to happen then it’s a problem.

Because it is a number of factors. Playing some good teams, defenses doing some things against some of our tendencies, a few were bad luck, a few were on the receiver's, and a number were from trying to put a ball in a window that closed. Each of the games a theme was forcing a throw …like he was trying to put the game on his shoulders instead of taking what is there.
What is strange, I am being perceived as defending a player, because I am looking at film to see what happened. Yet, I’am the bad guy and the people who scream like bitches with no real context other than emotion are considered the rational ones.

If you can't run consistently and you cant create separation, you have to throw into tight windows.

I think I have come to the conclusion that Beck needs to embrace becoming a game manager type qb...take the check downs, throw the ball away, hand off...dont be afraid to punt etc. I was on the air it out train like every one else after Clemson, but frick it...its just too costly.
He does this and stops the turnovers, we win the rest of our games.
He continues to turn the ball over 3-4 times, we gonna lose one of UT or Ole Miss.

Some fans want the “Killer instinct “
Smart wants to get first downs and make the opposing team have to force stuff on offense. Our offense clearly wears defenses down as we more often than not start breaking plays in second half. It takes some patience and faith in the system. Fans who choose to not understand this, lose patience and want something shiny and simple they can understand.

I want him to do these things as well. He is not an elite QB and never has been IMO
He needs to game manage our way into a Natty

We want him to have the "we won't lose this game because of me" mentality that Stet had.

Killer Instinct isn't long plays, killer instinct is execution. Get first downs and not field goals. Score TDs.
Beck is dawned if he does and dawned if he doesn't at this point.
We need to rum the damn ball more.

Like in the National Championship game when Stetson fumbled in the 4th quarter and Bama took the lead?

And then explain the rest of the game, and then the following season...

He didn’t quit like our bitch fans and he took us to a win. Isn’t winning the point?

When was the last time a top 5 team had a QB playing as bad as Beck is in the past month?
Jameis's second season (2014) was rough. People ignored it because FSU kept winning close games against bad teams. When they lost 59-20 in the playoffs and his turnover party was a huge reason why Oregon ran away with it, it couldn't be ignored anymore.

An Auburn buddy calls him Beetlejuice. His eyes are funky for sure. Of course we’ve drilled Auburn like a bad tooth so,….

Almost as funky as some of the greasy Sicilians I know. Probably because they have been conquered and seeded by about every civilization within a thousand miles of them.
