Successful teams this season all have a couple of things.

1. Coaching continuity.

2. QB continuity.

Even many shite teams who have had that Continuity are surprising people.

Of the teams who have had turnover in both of those areas Georgia is doing the best.

Right now Kirby is digging Georgia out of a hole on the offensive side. It's not just QB; it's also hiring mistakes.

That's not going to be solved in one season - especially not this one. He's not in the hot seat. He's not lost. He's not blind. I think he corrected the hiring issue and attempted to correct the QB problem. Next year will be better.

Honestly, I think we've seen the low point (which ain't that low) and the program is on the mend.

I've been waiting a long long long time for you to post something I could consider upvoting. I'll think about it.

Program on the mend?

5th year as head coach....all coaching hires made by him....first year with all his recruits...botch d the fields vs fromm debacle.

I like Kirby, I do but I'm gonna be honest yesterday was a deflating loss...at no point did it look like we made changes to stop the florida offense. Also Kirby seems to once again be hitching his wagon to a dead beat qb because he is a 'hard worker's.

The qb situation we are in is sad and determental to us making any kind of natty run.

Also football is changing. Good offenses now rule the day and Kirby is a defense oriented coach. If he isn't careful and put priority on offense like Saban has done, he will be gone sooner rather then later

2026. Smart is done but it will take 3 seasons for the majority of donors to realize it and 2 years of chances to right the ship. I’d like to say he had potential but I think what he has been is way beyond what he is capable of.

First time head coaches - first time anything - are allowed a couple of mistakes.

Yeah he made a bad hiring decision in Coley, but can you name another? And just how many seasons did it take to correct?

I'm sure nobody here thinks I'd go easy on Kirby if I think he deserves worse. However, the track record speaks for itself - and not in the way you think. Kirby started off at least very good (top 5% of his profession) and he's learning and correcting. Maybe that's not all we could ask for, but it's certainly more than acceptable.

At one point, you seemed sensible and knowledgeable. Somewhere in this post you quit being that. Be better and more consistent.

Which part? I'm generally curious where I veered off a sensible discussion?

Well the part where we made no defensive adjustments.

We started bringing a 5th rusher more in the second half and that seemed to help us get more pressure. We held them to 6 points in the second half. You dont give up 6 in the second half after giving up 38 in the first without adjustments.

What do you think hiring Monken was?

They took their foot off the gas quite a bit in the second half....still racked up a ton of yards....I'm not convinced they couldn't have hung 100 on that defense Saturday

Not sure but he hasn't don't shite to impress me this year. Of course this is mostly because Kirby has fricked up the qb position

They may have put up that many with a team that quits. Thankfully they showed pride

Lack of coaching continuity hurt last year and qb and coaching is a double whammy this year.

It takes time to out in a system and get the players to play in it fast.

We are never going to win an NC. We are a 10 win a year at best program that can compete for SEC championships every now and then. That’s all we will ever be.

Checks wins in 2017,18, and 19. Didn’t see 10 a year. You might want to check your glasses.

What does that have to do with your stupid 10 wins max claim?
