I enjoyed the song. I had taken a painkiller earlier in the day but I’m sure the effects had long worn off and had nothing to do with my enjoyment of the piece.

If y'all haven't watched Long Strange Trip on Amazon prime I highly recommend it. Damn it's pretty good. They even mention that Hunter is a part of the band.

Long Strange Trip is really well done imo. The Kesey documentary that clip is from is good too.

Long Strange Trip was fantastic, but it turned out to be more of a Jerry documentary than a Grateful Dead documentary.

It certainly was at the end, but I'm not sure that could be avoided.

Yea I mean as he spiraled further into his issues, that pretty much drove the ending of everything. He basically reflected what was going on in the fanbase or vice versa. It'd be hard to make it without it focusing on his issues near the end.

I don't think they mentioned Bruce or Vince once and Brent got maybe 2 minutes of air time in the whole thing. Just weird to leave that stuff out in such an immersive biopic on the band as a whole. I still rate the thing a 9/10, was one of the better music documentaries ever IMO. Soundtrack was A+ too (obviously).

The Bob Weir "The Other One" documentary was pretty good too.

Yea I liked The Other One a lot. And agreed, Mydland needed more coverage. He injected a lot of energy and needed sound when they brought him on board.

This early demo is a pretty great example of some excellent Bob Weir guitar work-

Those clips cracked me up.

Here's another John Hiatt song with good lyrics and nice mandolin.

I like the Hiatt song.

I also like this Brian Ferry song. Totally different genres, but very similar feel. At least for geniuses like myself.

I think Niles Rogers plays some guitar on this song.

But I can't be sure.

Brian Ferry- Don't Wanna Know (from the 90s)
