WoodSTOCK and STOCKbridge are easy to mix up, I suppose. Maybe he said woodstock and meant Stockbridge.

Wilco plays it. But, it's Woodie Guthrie words. That's what the mermaid avenue thing is about.

he died and family found stuff scribbled and it was still potent enough to make great music 30 something years after his body was processed by worms and the other natural recycling systems. With help from Wilco and somebody named Billy Bragg

THis ties into the cover band thing..

-Woodie Guthrie was Bob Dylans bob dylan
-people dont even always know a lot of hte songs they liek are bob dylan songs
-anyway, don't look at this video
-just play it
-and then listen to the words
-repeat, ignore the gay video
-also, don't just play it now. it's got to be the right time

This is a montage of all of Andy Griffith playing with the hillbilly moonshiner band from the hills. They were called "The Darlings" because the inbred hillbilly family name in the show was Darling.

This time of year pulls me to the bluegrass music.

I just DuckDuckGo searched 420 to find out where it came from...

Ha ha ha ha ha.

Apparantly this super cool code word comes from when some 8th graders in california used to meet after school everyday to go on a Goonies treasure hunt for One-Eyed Willy’s lost secret pot field. And the Goonies decided on 4:20 for some reason as a meeting time. (Probably to provide enough time to get back for moms meatloaf and homework time)

So, in reality, adults celebrating 4/20 today are celebrating the time when some 8th graders played pirate games in the woods behind their subdivision before supper. Ha ha ha ha ha

Bros, I have an idea for how to end the systemic oppression of our weed lifestyle

At 4:20pm today (4/20), everyone post a link to a killer jamband song. If all goes as planned, we will be free once and for all by about 5:17pm. Which will then be our new code word for Weed Independence Day.

517, dudes. Revolution!

Well, that was pretty much a total failure.

Attention: 517 has been cancelled. The oppression continues due low revolution turnout.

4pm on Friday, not a good time to start a revolution. I'll submit one anyway. The song's not a southern favorite, but it's one of my favorite guitar jams.

Always liked the Darlings! Trivia: The Darling boys were an actual Bluegrass Band called the Dillards.
nice catch, deeprgi9. I hadn't thought about the darlings in a long time.
