Social media knows that I'm a UGA fan. I was rather surprised that after Miami lost my feeds were full of posts making fun of Carson Beck. I didn't repost any of them. I was generally wishing Beck well but I was for no one in the natty.

So I should listen to some guy on a message board bc he claims it was some complicated defensive scheme. Or I can listen and watch Carson Beck and others break down this play all over the internet. It’s actually quite simple to look up. But you just keep thinking you’re right, it can be your little secret. But since I’m a nice guy I’ll post a picture so maybe you can finally understand it wasn’t all that complicated.

@Bradb5251 I'm sorry my man but I have to disagree that coverage was not cover two at the end. you could clearly see that it was like a quarters shell. I could see where you might think it was covered too because of how the safety's dropped but they weren't playing the same coverage on both sides if you go back and watch the 22 you'll see.

I see what you are saying but not sure the cb lets that receiver get past him in cover 4?

It is definitely not a base 2 look. Here is a link to that article again for those who missed it.

No matter how you interpret the coverage, what is clear is that Beck tried to throw a long pass to a well covered receiver and not to an open receiver on the opposite side of the field.
And dang, there was 10 yards of open field to the left-front of him.

When the receiver turned to catch the ball he broke stride and placed his hands down by his hips, expecting the ball to land there, because it was under thrown.

The interception was made by the corner back that was trailing the WR by about 5 yards because the ball was under thrown.

If Beck makes an accurate throw it's a TD. It was a really bad throw at a critical point.
