I was surprised we didn't see a lot more of that in the game we just played. When you have a group of TE's that includes Blazevich, Woerner, Nauta and Harris, seems like a lot could be done with them.

TEs were getting passes all over the place. In fact, I think every TE you just mentioned caught a pass last night (except maybe Woerner, though he was targeted multiple times; he eventually was yanked after he completely blew his route that led to an intentional grounding penalty)

Maybe the bottom line is that when the other team turns the ball over 5 times and your own team throws 55 passes...you kind of expect we would have won the game by about 3 TDs. Especially since Missouri put everything into stopping the run....

Something clearly didn't work...other than us escaping with a 1 point win.

I'll take any win but this one makes we wonder how things are going to go against Ole Miss, UT, etc.

Ole Miss and UTk both are thin on the DLine. As we saw with Mizzou last night and OM v Bama the DLine was worn out by the end of the 1st half. Mizzou slowed the tempo in the 2nd half and our D slowly took control.
The next 2 weeks we need to run often and wide to wear down the DLines and the 2nd half should be ours. Just stay close in the 1st half.

This is the best game plan. And now Eason has shown that we will challenge deep.
Keep spreading the D. As our receivers get better we will have even more opportunities. I'd like to see us run out of the spread more too.

This, and more toss sweeps with a FB or TE sealing the end of the DLine.
