What’s pathetic with all that I STILL cannot watch the Braves !!
680 The Fan app, free, streams all the broadcasts, send to Bluetooth speaker. Baseball is better on radio imo anyway.

If this new service doesn’t have Bally they are missing the mark. There’s a market for sports only streaming but most would want the Braves with it.

Bally is locked into their contracts with cable providers, they don't even have the option to allow their content on streaming. Braves and Hawks are the ones who fricked themselves into that deal.

It might lower the price. Can almost guarantee most households will still have 2-3 other streaming platforms on top of the $50+taxes and fees a month.
Most houses will have 2-3 streaming platforms anyway. If, by streaming platforms you mean Netflix, Britbox, Amazon etc. But housholds will, or should not have FUBO, YouTube, etc as they duplicate almost all of their channels.
Here is my thinking...FUBO costs approx. $70 a month.
I get the following for:
HBOMax-Free with internet
Amazon Prime-$13 a month when paid for a year in advance
Britbox- $7 a month
We don't take Netflix anymore but it can be had for about $23 a month w/4K
If Meansonny is correct you could all the sports on TV (Almost) for another $7 to start with and probably around$30 or so when the introductory settles down.
If I wanted to (but I don't) I could go with all of those services for about $143-$150 a month and then add internet. I was spending about $217 (I think) with DishTV and DirecTV (That did include internet.)
Instead, we go tired of Netflix and dropped it, and i won't need FUBO/YouTube if I take VENU.
So....to put this in focus.
Before VENU I was actually paying:
$80-Internet
Free-HBO Max (included with internet)
$13-Amazon Prime (paid for a year in advance)
BritBox-$7 a month
FUBO-$70 a month for 6 months of the year
That's $170 a month or since i only took FUBO for 6 months it averaged out to $135 a month year round, but did not get UGA basketball, baseball or anything else for 6 of those months
With VENU I can get:
Internet-$80 a month
HBOMax-Free w/internet
Amazon Prime-$13 a month paid in advance for a year
BritBox-$7
VENU-$30 (Approximately)
and drop FUBO but have access to UGA Basketball and Baseball if I want to watch for a total of $130 a month.
So, in reality I save $5 a month but get the same things along with basketball and baseball. Chance are, though, I would drop VENU and take it for only 6 months and my monthly average for a year would be: $115 saving me $100 a month since I stream instead of having DishTV/DirecTV or $20 a month with VENU and dropping FUBO/YouTube.
I'm not sure if this makes sense. And this is taking into account for price increases after VENU settles in and gets established.
Personally? I can't imagine why anybody would not "cut the cord" and get rid of cable or the dishes.

Fair point. I used to be a hard core baseball fan, but I haven't watched it in quite awhile.
I did go to some games when Nick Markakis was on the team. My nephew roomed with him up at Young Harris and would get him and my dad on the field for batting practice before games. When my dad was sick, he got some of the players to make videos on my brothers phone wishing my dad a speedy recovery, etc. But i haven't watched baseball hard core in a long time. I wanted to give my wife a break.

I spend roughly $200/mo that includes all the channels on Xfinity (HBO and SHO as well), streams on all my TVs and mobile devices, basically unlimited DVR, boatload of on Demand movies, 1GB internet, free Disney Jr through phone deal and my Amazon Prime is attached to it. We have 2 kids and it’s nice to have 1 place to go for it all instead of switching between 3-4 apps all the time.
Also, 1 centralized billing and I don’t have to worry about each app price increasing 10% a year and more and more apps being needed.
I call 1 time per year and renegotiate my price back down to the promo price

$200 just on tv? Good grief.

My way may not be best for you. I assume you $200 a month includes internet?
It's not for everybody. but if you don't need a bunch of extra channels that you don't need, then you can save money. Like I said, I pay an average of $130 a month and have more programming than I have time to watch.

They will make sure in the long run your bill is the same.

Mine is not. Like I said, I don't spend anywhere near what I was. Of course i don't get...nor do I want all of the extra TV Channels.
The popular channels run the price up on those cable and streaming services, but they also get charged for stuff like BET, Spanish language channels, A&E, AXSTv, BabyTV, Bloomberg TV....and a ton of other channels. But they take all those lesser channels to be able to claim you are getting 200+ channels, when if could choose you would probably choose 50 or so channels that you MIGHT watch. But they pay for those channels and then pass the cost+ profit on to you. It is what it is.
During off season I pay about $100 a month for TV and have too much to watch. But that's me.
ETA
I should have added that that includes internet.

Just saw a video from Cord Cutters about Venu.
They will charge $42.99 a month for the service. If you don't necessarily need all the other channels (History channel, Paramount, etc) it's not too bad to take just during football season, or year round if you want the other sports.
They were planning on launching this month, but now have pushed it back to "the Fall". No solid date as of yet, but it was speculated it would be end of September or October. Paired with an antenna you can get almost all the football you want or need and at a much lower cost than the typical $70 a month for YouTube Tv, FUBO or other services. I'll probably stick with FUBO this year because i don't want to switch halfway through the football season, but I might check it out next season.
Just thought I would pass this on for those who were curious about it.
