I agree, UT will most definitely be number 1 on Tuesday and we will be 2. The line will be around 5 at game time. No way does Vegas put this game anywhere near 10+. That third quarter yesterday where Stet thought he was on the Gators could have changed a few minds. We looked awful for that stretch.

We (the collective we, not anyone in particular) can't complain that teams like Clemson, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, etc always rank high and we blame it on just name appeal....then turn around and complain about Tenn being ranked #1 when they objectively have by far the best resume in cfb at the moment.
I have no problem with them being first, especially since it's completely irrelevant since we play them in 6 days

Good thing about the SEC is we don’t have to worry about sex appeal or our ranking to get to the promised land. Beat TN and we’re in the SECCG….win that and we’re in the CFP. Doesn’t matter where we start with rankings.

I believe Dawgs will get the #1 spot. People are overemphasizing Tennessee’s 3 point win over a below average Bama team. (Below average by Bama standards)
Our blowout route of Oregon is just as impressive. Maybe more so even. And sure, we famously struggled against miZzzouri, but shite arse Pitt took Tennessee to overtime. Not to mention vols are a double digit underdog next week. I’m sure committee will say they don’t look at pointspreads, but that’s of course horseshite
So spoiler alert: Dawgs will be #1 and vols #2

I think UT will be ranked #1 tomorrow, and I honestly have no issue with it. Let's look at each teams' top 3 wins.
UGA
1- Oregon. Utter and thorough beatdown at neutral site over a team currently at #7. They have won all games but ours.
2- Carolina? Beatdown on the road against a team that 3 days ago was ranked 25th but is now NR. Currently 5-3.
3- Florida? 3 TD win at neutral site against a team that's been ranked some this year but is NR and currently 4-4.
Tennessee
1- Alabama. Eeked out a 3 point win at home over a team that was ranked in the top 2 and is currently 6th. Similar to our signature win, alabama has won all other games besides this one.
2- LSU. Beatdown on the road of a team that is currently ranked 15th at 6-2.
3- Kentucky. Beatdown at home of a team that's been ranked most of the year buyt is currently NR (2nd in the "others receiving votes") and is currently 5-3
If you're just comaring resumes, which is the what the committee is supposed to do, theirs is by far better than ours. And in the initial 2017 CFP rankings we were #1 over alabmaa despite both teams being undefeated.

Dawgs are -9 right now and that could go down. I would think it would be UT -3 or something like that. This would be a hard game to be on. I think either team has the ability to blow the game open. If Dawgs turn the ball over like they have been could be UT by more than 7, but of course it's at home and Dawgs could blow it open if they get the run game going.

This is the ideal scenario IMO. If there wasn’t enough motivation to frick the vols up and for the fans to show up loud, there is now.
