ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia and Florida are bitter rivals on the football field, but on Saturday there was one thing sources in both athletic departments agreed on.

Charlton Warren, the Gators highly-respected secondary coach, did not interview with Georgia football coach Kirby Smart for any positions on the Bulldogs staff.

It’s not that Warren wouldn’t make sense. Warren is an Atlanta native who Smart has spoken favorably of in the past.

But it was LSU secondary coach Cory Raymond who has interviewed with Smart this weekend, per multiple reports.

Smart is looking for both a secondary coach and defensive coordinator after Mel Tucker left to become head coach at Colorado.

Reading on another well-respected site that Ansley is out for the DC job and it’s pretty much all-but-confirmed to be Lanning.

Oops. NM. Haven't been feeling well lately and forgot about Lanning.

Wouldn't surprise me with this.

Eh!!! Either Warren or Raymond would make up for not hiring Ansley.

Reading elsewhere: Raymond is apparently still in Athens with more discussion to come tomorrow. Warren seems to have only been angling for a raise. No interview, no offer; only preliminary talks.
