Do we try to rack up some Heisman/Mackey/Belitnikov/Butkus stats and highlights for the guys or do we go vanilla and have the backups in for three quarters?

I think we do like the Samford game.

Run our offense.
Get Stet 300 yards.
Sub linemen and receivers early and often.
Continue to run our offense with backups until mid to late 4th quarter.

Why even start the starters? I hate these types of games.

-Well over half of the schools playing 1A ball wouldn't survive without these games funding their AD
-It's a great chance for the backups to get real life game action instead of just running 2/3rd string or scout team against their teammates
-guaranteed win
-Opportunity to take children to the game since it will be laid back without all the rowdiness and drunkenness like usual

All in all its a good thing to ahve games like this. I wouldn't want 8 of em, but a few every year doesn't hurt

I don’t really care for them either. Starters can put the points up and then get the backups some game experience. That’s basically what a rent a win is for. It’s just hilarious when it backfires though and a power 5 team gets taken down by app state or ga southern.

What do you want us to do?

We have to play 12 games.

This is an age old discussion.
Until everyone else starts playing an all power 5 schedule then there no reason for us to make it harder on ourselves.
The backside to that coin is that these games provide funding to these smaller non power 5 schools to keep their programs going and to advance the sport. So basically if we stop renting wins from them, their programs run out of money and die.

Sadly, I think Kent State is better than Vandy and Mizz

Kent State is also Nick Saban's alma mater.

And the national guard shot some hippies there one time.

Hate to sell my tickets but these games and 12pm starts and lesser tailgate environment just don’t interest me …to spend an entire Saturday.

Good chance for others to enjoy the Dawgs.

Did Nixon direct and control the Ohio National Guard? And if not, who did?

And I thank good people like yourself, so people like me can go on stub hub to take their family to a game without all the high cost and general ruckus.

Which song?

Also, do people still not know that Nixon won 48 states in a landslide, created the EPA, and ended the Vietnam War, but libs still think he is some kind of a villain because that's when the commies started their full court press that is still active today?

The nfl play pre season games. College footbal gives back to the lower tiers with these games. Kent is literally in a huge fund raising campaign having scheduled 3 major p5 teams. $2m-$3m at least for their AD between those games.
