Very weird, despite 7-1 start we are 64 in RPI because of our SOS this year, ranked 244. Years past, we’ve had more losses and in the low 50s of RPi because of our SOS. We are going to need a good conference performance to make the dance. I don’t think 19-11 will get us in unless we have those Mizz, UK wins to help

Big difference as of now is the difference in the quality of SEC play this year though. In the past, the majority of losses constitute bad losses. This year the conference is really good, and we can pick up big wins, and the losses won't hurt us as much as years past.

Apparently, a lot will be determined by how well we do against Temple and I think Tech will end up being an important win by the time the season is done.
It looks that we have a team that could potentially finish in the top 5 of our league but that’s why they play the games.

Pretty impressive for a lone white guy.
Oh, wait...Winthrop, not Winthorpe; my bad.

UGA has the #75 RPI after the Winthrop victory. Seems low considering we are 7-1. Has our competition been that weak?

It depends on who you talk to...St. Mary’s was ranked 21st when we beat them but they had lost to Washington State the night before we played them.
Winthrop had lost 3 games before we played them and Marquette hasnt has any signature wins.
We all know this team is much improved from a year ago but that they still have a ways to go. That being said, this team is beating teams with the style that we’ve not beat the last several years. So I feel like when we get into SEC play we will very competitive there while getting more OOC wins.

I feel like we are the longest and most athletic team in the league. We're gonna be a hell of a team to bang with. Hightower, Claxton, and Hammonds are gonna be matchup nightmares against any team.

HIghtower is very fast and quick as well. When he figures it out he will be GOOD. Claxton has that outside jumper that makes him dangerous and Hammonds has all the skills.
We are recruiting Khavon Moore to be the last signee. He would take Juwan’s spot on the roster. Similar ranking as Hightower but get this...kid would be a 6’8 Guard. Can you imagine the matchup problems we would give teams with Our starting line up looking something like this:
1. Turtle - 6’4
2. Khavon Moore - 6’8
3. Hammonds - 6’7
4. Ogbeide - 6’8
5. Claxton- 6’11
If we can keep the ball rolling and finish well in SEC play, this team could be set up for higher levels of success for the next several years.

Mike Edwards is such a terrible defensive player.
eta: and he's not a good offensive player

We look like we haven't touched a basketball in two years. Hopefully we can turn it around here.

I've decided to start watching the SEC Championship to make myself feel better.

We are playing like we’ve had 11 days off. Unreal how bad we are playing.

I don't understand how a player of Yante's caliber gets the treatment from the refs that he does.
eta: At least we saw my favorite play this game. The Juwan Parker decision to pass up a wide open 3 to take a contested mid-range jumper.
