Home night games have been blackouts by fans for a very long time now, we just don’t get that many. If we can get the energy that we had for Tennessee at home last year it’s going to be electric. I wish they’d bring back the black jerseys once every few years, but they won’t.

If it was up to me we would wear black the final home game fo the year every year. I really can't think of any reason not to.

I'd even take it a step further and say to wear our 2020 arkansas jerseys in the first road game of every season too.

Red pants on first road game each season would be awesome.

I think it would be a terrible idea to wear black jerseys this weekend.

It wouldn't shock me to learn that these Blackout rumors start with Bama fans.

The men playing on the field will be wearing RED. I don’t care what the folks in the stands wear as long as they are loud.

I thought that we'd gotten to the point as a fanbase where all night games are blackouts and fans know to wear black when it's a night game, too. Apparently this is still a discussion however.

it's seemingly always the spike squad that starts this shite.

lol, no they aren’t. Not at all. Ol Miss a couple years ago when they came - night game and not even remotely close to a blackout

it's still a discussion because what you said isn't a thing. It may seem that way since when it's cooler people wear jackets which tend to be dark, but as far as UGA saying "hey fans wear black this weekend" that has rarely happened. The spike squad or some boomer page on facebook "calling for" a blackout is irrelevant.

I have never seen a fan base so bitch made when it comes to jersey color. We lost one game 17 years ago and now a fourth of the fan base acts like we're summoning Satan by just mentioning it..

Kirby won't do it because he's of the old school Saban mentality which is fine I just wonder why we sell the recruits on these jerseys if we almost never wear them

It always seems to come up for these big games against Bama or whoever. If it became a norm every season like some else mentioned, every last home game, I think it’d be ok. Someone also mentioned red pants throwbacks every first away game and I like that idea too.

Were you there?

I had a bad cycling wreck and fractured most of my lower extremities 20 years ago. I remember it in detail, still hurt on rainy days and think twice when doing stupid shite. Some things leave an impression.

I was and the leadup to that game was one of the most incredibel and amazing atmospheres I've ever seen in Athens still to this day.

I agree with the other guys' overall sentiment that demonizing the black jerseys because of one game (we're 5- 1in them..) is ridiculous and I think we should wear them more often. But this wekened? It would be the dumbest thing we could do. But we aren't so it's no matter.

Good point - It's not like they stopped making them.

these are 17/18 year old kids. Half of their lives are posting pics on instagram. If wearing all these different outfits on reruiting visits help make us more appealing then we'll do it. We have a bunhc of differnet jerseys BTW that will never see the light of day:
