Looks like all the regionals have the same start times on Friday. Although I would of thought the hosting team would have the "marquee" game time, which would be the night game on a Friday night.

The host team gets to choose whether they want to play during the day or at night for the 1st game. The rest of the games are determined by wins and losses..
So Johnson must have preferred the earlier time slot.. some are of the opinion that it gives your pitchers a little bit more time to rest.. Some prefer to avoid the heat.. Some like playing in the heat if you are facing a team not used to the heat.. Some like to avoid rain that might be coming in.. Some like the earlier game because you know when it will start..
If the 1st game is 25 innings.. the 2nd game is going to get pushed..

While we have a little time on our hands, let's take a look back and see some "slight" overreactions during the first series against UK.
