He didn’t play at Oregon, he transferred to a better program where the defensive backfield is stacked with 5-stars. He’s from DC so it’s not like he’s getting close to home. Wonder what he was thinking.

From what I read he was committed to Temple until he got the UGA offer.

I read he was injured last year. Not arguing with any of my UGA brethren, but if the UGA staff thinks he good enough to offer a scholly and suit up in the red and black, who am I to doubt that?

Maybe he’s an athletic mad man that’s willing to kill himself for kick and punt coverage. That’s valuable.

It's possible Kirby also called Lanning and asked what he thought. Gill had already committed to Temple, so he wasn't likely going back to Oregon. I'm never gonna question more depth if spots are going unused. We lost walk-on DB Patrick Taylor to the portal recently. Maybe that was a consideration too.
