The highest OC salary has been $4M.

Monken is establishing his market value.

Nobody will be shocked when he gets a pay raise.
And if a team wants to pay him $4M, then good for Todd. We can't say that he underperformed while at UGA.

If it takes $4M we’d be smart to match it. An extra $1M is a drop in the bucket compared to the value of consecutive NC’s

yah, if he gets offered 4 mill I can't blame if he bolts. He's a a great OC but the NFL has so much parity and such good defenses. He will have a big adjustment from playing against defenses with 2 star caliber players. He may want the challenge and go the path of someone like Kyle Shannahan or Arthur Smith.

The average OC salary in the NFL is $1 million. Monken will be taking a significant pay cut to move to the pro ranks.

Only reason to make the move is if he wants to be an NFL HC in a few years. Easiest way to do that is to be an OC in the league.
