1) LSU beats Bama
2) We win out
3) Aggie beats Bama in the SECCG
4) We cruise into the playoffs with a bye
...#4 would have become plausible if Penn State beat Indiana today.

We'll get a bye anyway. Bama and TAM play in the SECC. If we run the table beating a ranked Texas and GT, chances are we jump the loser and make it into the top 4. Even without the conference championship game, we get a bye. So, it works out great for us. We'll have a freakun month to rest everyone up and prepare for our natty run.

Instead of trying to go down and score they tried to run clock with a 4 point lead and tons of time on the clock. Punted the ball with 2 minutes to go and went right into prevent style defense and let Indiana move the ball right down the field. Ya the coaches are either retarded or bought and paid for.

It's the former.

It's all subjective and who really knows, but I don't think that we'd jump Alabama in the rankings if they lose the SECCG, and I definitely don't think we'd jump Texas A&M if they lose the SECCG. The CFP Committee swears that they're not going to punish a team for a conference championship loss.
I think the risk a team runs these days when making it to the SECCG is playing and playing like shite. If an SEC team gets blown out and embarassed inthe SECCG, I think that that's where recency bias would come in and that's when their fans should be worried.

The biggest risk of SECCG is injury and having to play in first round game also by dropping out of top 4.
This could happen if Bama shits bed against AU or Texas beats A&M.
A&M losing to Texas likely puts us in the SECCG against Bama if we win out (and other favorites win).

No reason it can't be both.

Below assumes we win can win out.
What we want is to be in top 4 but NOT go to SECCG.
Our best scenario is for Auburn to beat Bama.
Bama still goes to SECCG but has 2 losses. Chance they rank us 1 spot ahead of Bama in rankings going into SECCG but if they beat A&M they likely have them jump us again. We would need them to lose to A&M.
Unfortunately, almost any loss by A&M (SC and Texas) prior puts us in SECCG.
Now the more likely scenario, we win out and Bama loses to Texas…does two loss Bama stay ahead of us?
Penn State shutting bed against Indiana really was our best chance (IF we can win out) to move up.
OSU and Indiana finish with easy schedules.
Now, if OSU boat races Indiana..we may jump them.
To jump Indiana or SECCG loser we likely need to some strong victories.
