I guess it's Bobo's fault Bowers and McConkey left and no other receiver has stepped up.
I mean, yeah? Maybe. Some things you can’t coach but scheme definitely helps guys get open.

That goes back to the talent. We lost a generational player and a few more that were pretty damn good. The ones we have this year are the same as last and they benefited from those two.

Imagine why our QB needed to throw so much and be in all game, at home, against the worst team in our league.

There's a lot to complain about but this isn't it. If you've watched the games you'd realize Bobo is dialing up short passes to fast guys in space. Almost like an "extended" handoff instead of a traditional inside handoff.
He's doing it because we have so many small, fast dudes and because Beck is so good on the quick pitch type plays. It's actually pretty clever & is about the best thing the team has going for it at the moment.

We're not throwing it downfield 50x a game like 2010s Oklahoma, it's weird seeing that many attempts but makes sense when you actually look at the context imo.

We didn’t “have” to throw it. Miss State was giving us huge cushion off the line in secondary. Bobo took advantage of this. Well… if he tried to run dives into their defense for 3 yards, the same bozos would have bitched about that. Good OCs take advantage of what is given to them and what they can take.
