So at this point, if Auburn wins do we have a spot in the SECCG clinched?

This is all very confusing

If Auburn wins, yes we are in
If Aggies win it will be decided next week based on a few games.

Yup. We’re in. Playing winner of Texas-A&M game.

Maybe Aggies will beat Texas. Hate having to play teams twice

What a crazy day. It felt weird sort of rooting for us to miss the SECC, but I found myself rooting for Auburn as this game went on. Let’s Go!

Well, we're headed to ATL...

Seriously…WTF?
I’d love to win the SEC but….would it be possible to get excluded from the CFP if we lose? Who the hell we playing? TX?

Not a chance in hell (unless we lose to GT)

I missed the call but they lost pretty convincingly so one call should not have lost the game for them…..?

It's like Kirby has said many times: It's tough playing on the road in the SEC.
Underdogs have had a decided advantage in home games.
Vandy beat Bama.
Florida beat LSU and Ole Miss.
Auburn upset A&M in OT.
And OU beat Bama convincingly.
As such, I won't be surprised if A&M upsets Texas in College Station.
And yea, I would rather play A&M in then SECCG than having to beat Texas twice.
Regardless, Gooooooo Dawgs!!!

I think I would rather play Aggies too, buuuut Aggies QB run game would probably give us fits.
Feel like Arch may make an appearance and play longer if we get Texas again.
Idk. It's chaos

I don’t want to play TX again…they’re a good team and getting 2 wins against the same team isn’t easy. We shocked them the first time with our best defensive performance all year…don’t know that we can do that again.
I’m in for beating AM and being TX state champions.

Not gona lie. I was rooting for the chaos to put us in Atlanta. I couldn’t stand to see two teams from Texas playing for the SEC title. Or Bama winning it with their new yankee coach.
The sec title does still mean something.
There’s also still a chance we play Texas 3x this season.

Agree and as I suggested in my reply the original post, we obviously have a better chance of winning the SECCG than running the table in the playoffs with our inconsistent offense and defense.
But our inconsistency is entirely consistent with the rest of the SEC.
It will be interesting to see how the playoffs play out because it appears that NIL and the portal have created more parity across the board.
A good example is Alabama Safety, Caleb Downs, transferred to OSU and played a key role in Ohio St. beating Indiana yesterday.
It's basically becoming players for hire going to the highest bidder so the wealthiest teams will be getting the best players regardless of the home town of said players.
Hopefully we will still get the lion's share of the best talent in our state but I think it's going to be increasingly difficult to do so.

Obviously but I can't help but wonder how long that will continue with Big 10 teams paying millions of dollars for players.
