Got word today of several friends, an in-law, and associates who've tested positive this week. But none are sicker than the level of a cold.

Today's screaming media headlines are tiresome:

US heads into a harrowing phase of the pandemic

New Covid-19 record set as schools plan to reopen

Fauci: Cancel your large New Year's Eve parties

Maybe the time has come to let this run its course? 98% who get it will be mildly ill. If you're 80 or already on death's door, well, isolate if you choose.

Etiquette question: is it appropriate to tell people to "Stay positive!" during a pandemic?

Seems okay but maybe condescending. The comment implies that the people are in fear and worry.

I thought the comment meant to hope for a positive test rather than a negative test.

Huh? Pretty sure “stay” implies a continuation of the already existing condition.

That said, the phrase doesn’t really apply to everyone since it’s clear the goal of the media and Left is to manufacture a state of fear, anger, and division in as many people as possible. And only those apathetic to that narrative are the one’s capable of “staying positive”.

Ridiculous, blaring media reports trying to make this sound like it's as bad as some of the great plagues of history. Maybe too much media, not enough story...
