The plot thickens...UGA has several unnamed players with "COVID-like symptoms"

So AJC says a "source with direct information" reporting that UGA has several players with COVID-19 like symptoms, and they "could be held out or limited in practice." Yet, no confirmation on whether they have tested positive. They could have a cold, for all we know. Maybe media trying to generate a story?
Meanwhile, as mentioned earlier, NCAA and other groups have officially been able to get CDC to drop the 10-day protocol to a 5-day protocol. This is now in effect and could have implications for any of these players as well as Daniels.
Also, UGA closed practice on Monday and will not at present make announcements about any affected players.
All of this being sort of interesting in light of the fact that results about Pickens and Daniels were immediately leaked.
Should be an interesting week....

A lot of sick players but none have been tested because the majority of them are vaxxed and the rules say only unvacxed have to be tested or some shite...so could be flu, could be COVID.
One person said upwards of 30. But a lot of the team was online posting pictures of them having team dinner last night.

I’m so sick and tired of this shite! I’m still pretty salty from the Bama game, and now teams forfeiting games. You don’t see any of this dumb shite on any other forums for the 3 other teams involved. Sorry for sounding like a straight bitch, but it’s a common fricking cold. Let’em play!

Per link, Daniels cleared, which means that he tested negative on retest and is symptom free. The new 5 day protocol went into effect yesterday so he can at least practice.
My question is: Why did AJC go to print with report of multiple UGA players with "COVID-like" symptoms when that could mean the common cold, a flu, somebody allergic to something...many things. Kind of irresponsible to even mention it without actually knowing if any of them tested positive for COVID.

Close, Vaxxed players do not have to be tested unless they "show symptoms". Once symptoms are present, they must be tested. Unvaxxed players have to be tested before competition (I don't recall the time frame).
