Yeah, but he walked into a primo situation.

Growing up it was a fine place to be. However, the social scene is small as you get older, unless you're married.

I could never move back to small town Georgia. Once you live and live in a bigger city it's virtually impossible to move back. I loved it growing up but I enjoy city life much more. If I was more into farming and gossiping I'd probably love to go back.

Those are great stats. Like I said though his body of work as a dc is limited.

Sure. But I assume this would be a two-for-one. He'd be DC and over the secondary. Possibility of freeing up a coaching slot?

The 2 deep on that roster was made up of almost all former 5 stars. Just saying

So did just about every DC FSU had since Mickey Andrews retired. Do you doubt that he would be walking into a "primo" situation with the talent here in Athens.

Ok, I just read all this shite and I am now an emotional train wreck. The elation of Kirby happening today to hearing Pruitt to going right back to knowing nothing.

Pruitt would be great but I went and got all excited for Smart :/

I don't think that we have as much talent on defense as fsu does. Plus Stoops handed him a defense that was already a top 3 defense. Again I wouldn't mind having him, but I would definitely rather have Kirby.

Grantham had 5 stars all over the field for the last two years....just sayin'. Pruitt is doing something right in Tallahassee.

Yea, idk, it beats Grantham but for as much hype as this search has garnered us going from Kirby and possibly his strength staff to a 1st year DC working with some stellar FSU talent (which, btw, is better than ours and they play vs ACC competition) just is kind of a bummer. But that's only cause I want the moon.

Thomasville, GA? It is actually a very nice place to live. It has Tallahassee just down the road for at least a taste of bigger city life, but it itself has a nice cultural scene sponsored by the rather large amount of money in the area. Not to mention the red hills of the surrounding landscape are quite pretty and fun to play in. But, seriously, you have no idea the level of money that lives in and around that town.

My dad grew up in Thomasville. He was the starting tailback for the Bulldogs his junior and senior year in '50 and '51. Also played shortstop and pitched for T'Ville. After time in the Army, he wound up at UGA and played some baseball. We spent a lot of time down there when my grandparents were still alive. Grandfather had a general store for many years there. Always enjoyed spending time down there. It's a pretty cool little town.

That is all I am trying to say as well. Pruitt has what it takes.

If they hang up on you at the airport, think there is anything that we can "read between the lines"?

Jeff, maybe we could work on a site and get cool nicknames. We should probably do one for our favorite rival though, since we would both be giving "insider" info. We would be E-heros and get people's hope up on 17 year old boys and smash their dreams and wallets. Sounds legit boss. We just need a team and a name.

FTR- Has anyone heard from Lowndes25?
only UGA poster I trust. The rest are attention whores.
