Interesting. They made a movie about the Nutty Putty cave horror i was talking about too. Its on prime and I tried watching it, but some of the details were so blatantly off from what actually happened that i tapped out. I think the filmmaker was trying to be super respectful and sensitive to Johns family which i guess is understandable. Its called “The Last Descent” which kind of spoils the ending too.

our backyard when we bought it was a jungle pit. absolute disaster. 2 weeks ago a crew came in and completely ripped out and tore up the entire yard down to the soil and laid down new sod, it looks 10000x better already. A couple days after install I applied some starter fertilizer specifically for new sod. And yes I've been watering like a madman daily.

My question is can I reapply new starter fertilizer at the 6-8 week mark, or is that supposed to just be "one time only"? Internet is giving me some mixed messages.

Im worried you people arent getting properly freaked out about the terror festivals going on deep underground in dark arse narrow claustrophobic caves.

WgDawg, If i said to you, “Hey man, theres this cave and deep inside it starts to fill up with water, and there’s a tiny narrow tunnel completely submerged in water about 15 -20 feet long. That you can swim through, and it leads to a enclosed tiny open chamber room above water that can hold about 8 people. Wanna go check it out tonight at 3am?” What would you say?

Well four young people in Provo Utah said yes. Its called “the Cave of Death”. The four young people actually named it that before their excursion. And then all died in it. In the worst most terrifying way imaginable.

I do have a personal fear of caves and claustrophobia and you, thankfully, gave a trigger warning and I have chosen not to read the stuff. I'm not getting "properly freaked out" because I choose not to read the horror. I assure you, I would absolutely be "properly freaked out" if I read it.

This here. I wikid the nutty putty cave after Jefferson first mentioned it and after skimming I'd had enough. That guy's story sounds just terrifying if it were to happen to you.

Disclaimer warning temporarily suspended:

I think the term “claustrophobia “ is just another bullshite term/diagnosis that we’ve blindly accepted. Because I think fear of confined suffocating spaces is an entirely natural and essential fear instilled by hundreds of thousands of years of primal experience.

There’s no psychological term/diagnosis for fear of burning to death right?, but everyone instinctively knows to be on alert and looking for escape routes if you smell heavy smoke

I did a lot of stupid shod as a kid climbing through narrow pipes and other dumb shite, but learned quick no fricking way. It’s the worst feeling. Then When i first started down this rabbit hole it all came back and I had physical reactions to some of it , but confronting it iand keeping on studying it, it’s wearing off a touch

Disclaimer back on: DId you know scuba divers have to get a whole separate rating and log many many hours to get certified to enter an underwater cave? Holy shite the horror. The horror. That has happened in underwater caves. Fuuuck that

At what point do you just ask to be shot or injected with a poison to kill yourself?

Claustrophobia stuff doesn't frick with me too much. Just because I know I'll never be in a fricking cave. Drowning or burning is higher on my worry meter

watched a documentary recently on the Amazon prime where they followed people who promised to give up sugar and processed garbage.

I’m trying to reset my eating and just came off a 3 week stint of no sugar or processed food. Meat and vegetables….eggs and bacon for breakfast. No fast food…no alcohol.

It’s definitely healthier and will reboot your system but is hard AF to maintain.

Did you get any tests done before or after, blood tests, official weight, etc?

I'm never satisfied by things like ice cream, pie and cake. I always want more but more won't satisfy either.

Bacon and Eggs or a steak satisfies.

In spite of the satiety, a healthy diet can be hard to maintain because it isn't convenient. I used to eat Burger King, Subway, Taco Bell or microwaved frozen dinners. I finally realized that I was paying too big a price for convenience.

Since the November 2020, I've cooked everything that I eat except for the occasional restaurant steak.

By sheer coincidence I had my annual right before the diet so I do have some basic cholesterol and triglycerides numbers. I’ll also be able to get some done soon through the work “wellness” program….which is basically get your bloodwork done and then lie to a health coach to get the biggest discount. So I’ll have some before and after numbers. I’ve lost about 12 lbs thus far.

I don’t know if I can stick with it that long though.

Nutty Putty Cave

I went down that same rabbit hole and it’s terrifying. I don’t see how any rational person could ever do anything like that and I can’t imagine what that’s like.

I’ve gotten more claustrophobic as I’ve gotten older. We were touring the US North Carolina on vacation, which I’ve done before, and had to go up to the top deck. It was hot and full of people and my head told me I had to get out. Never had that issue and I need to go back and force myself to do it again. I was hung over too so that might have been a factor.

I’ve been to Anna Ruby Falls at least half a dozen times when I was younger and there’s no way I’d do that now. I could see myself freaking out on the elevator ride and it’s really just a crack in the ground.

I agree with your premise. When you get older you become smart enough to not go in holes in the ground or up on high ladders.

Sometimes I go to ownyourlabs.com and buy discounted Labcorp blood tests. Insurance won't pay OYL but I don't care.

I bought the $68 basic bundle including Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (14), Complete Blood Count with Differential/Platelet, Insulin, Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), Lipid Panel and High Sensitivity C-reactive Protein (hs-CRP)

Anybody find it eerie that a random thread about the country named ‘Georgia’ appeared on the board?? Since that country just so happens to be home to not one, not two, but four of the deepest most extreme caves on planet earth?? Are there really any coincidences?

I was just learning about the deepest one last night. Its called the Verëvkina Cave, officially the deepest cave on earth nicknamed the Everest of the Deep, and is located in the mountains of Georgia at a depth of over 7,000 feet . Which is about 5 empire state buildings in length, straight down winding through narrow cracks, requiring lengthy repels down tight vertical shafts and then shimmering through a labrynth maze of tunnels at the bottom. It takes several days to reach the bottom, and the psychopaths that visit the bottom sleep at a series of base camps along the way. Imagine trying to sleep down there multiple nights going lower and lower into the black ink darkness. Also, they have to shite in plastic bags and carry it out with them when they leave. Pretty courteous of them.

The bats are beginning to do their aerobatics again, diving for bugs, as the sun sinks low in the Georgia sky. A lot of bats live in caves. Why is everything pointing unmistakably towards caves (beneath the surface ) right now?

Something is about to happen along these Lines. I have no idea what. Consider me the canary in the coal mine
