Are we talking pre UNC pep talk?

Hell no. You've heard this man speak right? It would take ten minutes for him to mumble four sentences and everyone would be asleep and have migrains from trying to decipher gibberish.

Also, didn't he come out in the press immediately after Elijah committed to UGA and say he was disappointed in his choice and wished that he'd gone to Notre Dame instead? Class act..

I met Evander last year and spoke with him for awhile. The toll of boxing is pretty obvious, He is a very nice and soft spoken man, but I don't think he'd make a very useful motivator. I never hear dot ND thing. When we spoke he seemed pretty geeked that Elijah was going to be playing close by.

The ND thing was related to life after football. I don't think he's upset that Elijah's playing here, but he did seem to be indicating that he should pump the brakes and really consider ND. It's not an unreasonable POV from a dad who didn't get the kind of education that he's hoping his son will get. I don't think it was anything against UGA, just that he felt the ND degree would be more valuable.

They think they have to live up to other peoples expectations. Cars, houses, women, best hotels, restaurants, bad investments....pretty soon the tax man cometh, they have to pay agents, trainers, training facilities....they spend more than they have, get into heavy debt and the train ends. Their career usually ends faster than they expect and they can't make the money and still owe a ton.
