The 1-7 vs 3-6 SEC schedule options

as a Georgia fan, I’d much prefer to see a 3-6 with us keeping DSOR & WLOCP as permanent rivals along with So Car
but there is talk that we wil be saddled with a 1 -7 SEC schedule that only allows for ONE annual rival game every year
2 questions
1 - are you in favor of a 1-7 schedule (keeping 8 SEC games a year) or the 3-6 model (jumping to 9 conference games)
2 - if we do wind up with the 1-7 , who do you want as an annual rivalry game, Florida or Auburn?
I know Auburn is unlikely, but I’d rather keep that game if it comes down to it and let Bama keep TSIO with Tennessee hopefully improving
am I in the minority in this, anyone else rather keep the Aubs over Gators every year?

I wont give up hope in 3-5 or some sort of pod system.
If i had to take one permanent opponent, i would take florida.
It would have been a different answer if you asked me 20 years ago if im being honest.
Im more of a fan of the competitive nature of the games (and both series are completely different today than they were in the 90s).

I don't see how the 1-7 system would fly with the TV people or with the Big 6 schools. Each school would be losing an annual rivalry.
3-6 is the way to go. Would be much better for the traditions and for the fans.

I don't think I could pick between Florida or Auburn
I'd have to lean towards the 3-6 option. I can't live in a world that doesn't include whooping Florida and Auburn's asses every Fall

It's all about the playoffs.
Had there been a guarantee of expanding to 12, 3-6 would have been approved.
I'm not buying that the medium duty schools wanted to stay at 8 games for bowl purposes.

I also read they were talking about the 1-7 because the playoffs were not expanding. I hate the idea of 1-7. Part of the joy and tradition for SEC fans are the annual rivalries we have built with SC, TN, & Auburn. Those games are all close travel games for most UGA fans. So for example in the 1-7 the only teams we play every year are Florida and Ga Tech. What other sport will a team only have 2 annual rivals? Just stupid. That's part of the fun for fans. Like the Falcons play Tampa Bay and the Saints EVERY year.
