Fromm ran him right into the teeth of a blitz. I don't blame him. Even Swift saw it coming.

Looked like Fromm saw it coming, too, but the clock was running out and he had to snap it.

If only there was a way to stop the clock when you realized you have a shite play lined up on a critical drive

True, but we were trying to run out the clock, not stop it.

If playclock was all the way down a timeout doesn’t hurt anything. A wasted down and loss of yards is much more costly in that situation.

Fromm has to have less than zero credibility in the locker room right now. He has turned into a liability, while the alpha stud that he ran off is on a crash course to the Heisman and national title up in Columbus.

It is and in hind sight it was a bad decision. I can't imagine what it's like playing in the position and having to make that call, worrying about getting the ball off, a potential blitz coming, play clock running out, and a delay of game possibility.

I don't recall now but if we lined up late (as we usually do when we're running out the clock), it didn't give Fromm a lot of time to do what he normally does. I'll gladly blame him for making the wrong decision (not to take a TO), but there's a lot more to this than Fromm being stupid as some are implying here.

Fields is not gonna win the Heisman. methinks Fromm would look pretty good in OSU's offense as well.

Agreed, Fromm was letting the clock run and didn't get to line until 5 seconds. Couldn't aufible. It was first down so wasn't a complete travesty. No need for Swift to make a public scene in my opinion.

You'd make a scene too if your superstar veteran QB audibled you to run right into the teeth of a run blitz.

1- he didn't audible into that

2- no I wouldn't. Maybe if he did that consistently in the game, but it's the time killing drive, the offense didn't get set until 5 seconds left in play clock because it was a running clockand they were trying to milk it. No time to adjust it. Just take the two yard loss, it's not the first time or last time it will happen

Swift makes plays. He can do whatever he wants

Odd statement to make. He does make plays but I don't think gives him the right do anything he wants. I don't see Kirby running shite that way.

I think it was a heat of the moment, frustration fueled thing. No biggie, but I just don't like our guys going at it with each other.

Think of all the mistakes Fromm has witnessed and kept his cool. Then think of the way Fromm coolly and calmly reacted to Swifts bitch melt tantrum

I'd be disappointed too if I knew that I was part of a national championship caliber roster but I had the college football version of Mitch Trubisky as my QB.

Fromm has probably been doing that all season and Swift finally cracked considering the stakes of that possession.
