I saw the responses to this and IMO it's indicative of part of the problem we have in this country.

People say this is bullshite and I couldn't disagree more. Strong has stated what he expects. If you don't like it then leave. It's like a job. You were hired (scholarship to play and train and get a great chance to promote yourself for a possible future in the NFL) and you either do the job or leave. Period.

What's the problem here? I would love to know the age of those who responded that this is BS. I would bet anything they're 20ish.

I'm 20ish and I buy it...

Wish Georgia would become more like that.

I Doubt #5 would work or would be within NCAA rules.
"Athletic Dorms" were pretty much eliminated about 20 years ago.He can have these guys move back into dorms but that means the players would no longer receive their
monthly stipends (around $1,200 and if they're somewhat frugal can pocket some of the funds)
the NCAA is thinking about elevating to the 2k level.

These guys aren't gonna like money coming out of their pocket when many come from some pretty bad circumstances....don't see anything else wrong with the rest

We are exactly like this! CMR takes 2-4 games away from a kid who gets caught smoking a joint, after the season is over. LSU lets their kids smoke all season and puts their best player's on the field no matter what. Where is the standard? There isn't one and it sucks! If UGA has a standard, the conference and the NCAA should STICK to the standard!

Holy frick, no he doesn't. When are you going to realize that he doesn't make set university wide athletic policy?

I don't think he was referring to the suspension policy.

He was. He's been on about it for a while now. He thinks it's Richt's fault that we suspend guys. He's a fricking idiot.

He did the same thing at Louisville and it worked. He is doing the same thing at Tejas. He is a disciplinarian and that's his style. He might do very well at Tejas, we'll wait and see.

Wasn't talking about that, knucklehead. Everyone knows how we roll when it comes to suspensions (a UGA thing, btw, not Richt) but I wanted Georgia to be more like Strong and Saban in that they don't give their athletes many opportunities to frick up by making them live on campus and in general just locking a lot more down.

Well, then Texas will be on probation for breaking rules.

My bet is this was written by a 50 year old white dude who did not go to UT, but may have been to a few meetings with the area grand wizard....
