He was already probably a late 2nd early 3rd. There definitely could be a GM somewhere that sees this and takes him late 1st

Im not picking on you. But he was always this fast. He was expected to be a blazer in the 40. The knock on him is that he is 185 pounds (and not a thumper like Campbell).

Oh I’m completely aware of his speed dating back to his HS track career. However, as good as he was there was never an official sub 4.3 40 time from him. Which for whatever reason is sometimes make or break for some scouting departments

Sub 4.35 is good enough for a 1st round draft grade. And that potential has been there for stokes for the longest time.

Again, doing sub 4.35 at 185 is different than at 195 pounds. That is where all of the campbell buzz is coming from the past month.

Jarrett Guarantano might beg to differ--he got thumped pretty good. Stokes should be a first rounder.

Most of the earlier mocks from this year had him go late in the first round. He's been a second round pick if the last few.

Brain Maurer, not Jarrett Guarantano.

4.3 doesn't make or break scouting departments, but it definitely helps to have someone who might be able to run with the Tyreek Hill types.

Thumping a guy who doesnt see you coming DOES NOT make you a thumper. LOL.

Agreed. I have felt that way since 2018 when he took Campbells job and had 9 PBUs in half a year where every team was going after him (to avoid Baker on the other side).

Ive never seen sub 4.3 as make or break in scouting departments.
CBs go first round all the time without sub 4.3 times in the 40.

Im no draft expert. And i dont even like NFL (unless it is highlighting a former Dawg). I can agree to disagree on this one.

Or it could help the Chiefs keep someone like that off another team.

I was referring more to the value of combine/pro day drills for some scouts. Cornelius Washington is prime example. Bears took him extremely early based off his combine drills and measurables. I am not comparing Stokes to Washington at all because I believe Stokes produced on the field and will be really good in the league.
