I’d call Kliff Kingsbury or Hugh Freeze if I were Tech. Remodernize and do so with a guy who knows offense. Won’t ever be able to out recruit Kirby for defense in GA but could do well with an air raid concept with all the talent in state

I'm not particularly concerned about us and tech going for the same kids. UGA, Bama, Clemson, Auburn, GT all offering same kid, which of these isn't like the others?

GT right now, but have you heard how much traction Tennessee is getting right now with recruits? GT is a good school academics wise and it's not like they haven't been able to get some pretty good players in the past. Calvin Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Randy Rhino, Pat Swilling...a lot of people here have forgotten that they could attract a few players. I'm not saying we won't get ours, but even if they got 1 or 2 a year we wanted it would not be good.

And, if I am not mistaken....doesn't Nakobe Dean want to be an engineering major? He wanted to go to Stanford but they did not allow early enrollees. If GT gets some momentum going they could get into play for some decent players from time to time.

He hinted at this on the radio recently, he said "someday soon when I'm not in the game anymore, I'll tell you what I really think about recruiting" and I thought that was an odd thing to say, his inflection was odd.

As much as I want this to be true, I think Tech is hamstrung more by other variables than the coach and the scheme. I hope I’m wrong.

Been a busy year and after my weak showing in week 1 of HGMF, I decided to take a break

Tell Lando I said, what’s up.

Good now UGA doesn’t have to play against that shitty triple option anymore

Unless they remained married to it and hire Monken or Bohannon.

This is what I told my Tech buddy a few minutes ago... Not that I particularly want to have to face either of those guys on the regular, but either would be homerun hires for Tech IMO and could bring some life back to the rivalry. They will have to essentially throw away 2 seasons or so to get there, but either of those guys should be able to recruit well enough to compete for their division in the ACC... KK would be the more optimal coach IMO... Freeze already got in trouble trying to recruit with the big boys once. Don't think they could get him, but if the Pirate were interested, he'd be another decent choice (Tech seems to like quirky).

It would make sense to go full Big XII air raid and ditch the middle school scheme.

I like the Kingsbury suggestion.

Leach would be a lot of fun, just think he’d hate living in Atlanta.

There's no reason Tech shouldn't be a competitive program. They need to get on a plane right now and fly out to see Mike Leach.

Think about all the advantages Tech has.

1. Great ACADEMICS with meaningful degrees
2. Easier league
3. Telling recruits they can live in Atlanta

Tech has always had a ton of potential, let's hope they don't screw this decision up and settle for some scrub.

Kliff Kingsbury might be a good choice but the roster is nowhere near ready for that offense.

I thought something was up because their coaches haven't been recruiting anyone the last few weeks.

Mike Leach could corner the market on Little 5 Points too. Dude could walk into that neighborhood and have an entire new set of weirdo Tech fans.

Actually, there are staff on the road this week, which makes me wonder if Stansbury already has something lined up.

What is “the song we sung after three departing UGA coaches in the last 20 years”?

Leach would be an idiot to leave Washington State to come to tech.

Anyone other than a triple option coach is walking into a dumpster fire for 3 years minimum.

Anything would be an upgrade from the triple option. I almost feel sorry for them for having to watch that crap every week. Almost.
