I despise saying this but, really, Auburn played one hell of a game. They haven't played a game this well, against any team, in a couple of seasons. Their defense dominated our Oline, stuffed the run, and didn't give Jake time to get comfortable in the pocket.

No doubt, we made a lot of dumb mistakes but I don't see how anyone could watch that game and come away thinking, "Jeez..we would've had that one if not for a few mistakes". That was a thorough arse whooping.

Recollect and let's beat Bama in a few weeks. Season isn't over yet.

God knows we've done it to them in the past. I just hate it had to be this year but their defense totally owned us.

Auburn has nothing to lose and played like it tonight. If we play them in a few weeks it will be a totally different game. We played tight as hell and that always gets you beat. The penalties were unacceptable and some like the leaping penalty were complete bullshite on the refs part. This game could have easily shifted in a different direction if Ridley catches and scores to out us ahead.

This team still has everything it wants right in front of them. They need to man up and take it. Offensive line was total horseshite today.

Agreed. I was surprised at how our D couldn't get them off the field in the first Quarter. It's a miracle they didn't hang 14 on us rather than two field goals.

Yep, our OL was suspect at the beginning of the season and they have played better then expected up to this point. But clearly they are still suspect. Our defense got tired because we could not move the ball. We held them to field goals time and time again but the offense simply did not do their part. It just goes to show that no matter how good your running backs are, if your OL is getting dominated then it's going to be a long game and it was.

Bottom line: Auburn got tired of hearing about how good Georgia is and how Auburn has been dominated by Auburn in recent years and they simply wanted this game more than we did in their house.

Poor execution, discipline, turnovers and flat manhandled.

The leaping penalty was just called on Alabama. You have to know they are going to call that if you are on punt block/return. Plenty of other examples of lack of discipline.

Hardeman’s fumble was huge turning point. We could have cut lead to 2 going into halftime but instead we were down by 16 at half. Of course, all the blame is not on that play but it would have been a totally different mindset for team entering locker room at half.

I tell you something that I noticed with their running game. They ran right at Big Trent. He will need to wilork on that next year in the NFL

No shite ...but that's just an example of when shite isn't going your way. That's his first muffed punt all year - at the worst possible time.

I agree, but our mistakes also came at the worst possible times. We got them off the field twice, only to give them the ball back immediately with the leaping penalty and the Hardman fumble. That sort of stuff kills any chance at a comeback and continued Auburn's momentum.

We're a better team than we showed last night, but we obviously have a ton of areas we need to get better. Both lines especially.

Hated that fumble for Mecole because he seemed to be on the verge of taking one to the house. We're so overdue that play and it felt like it was going to come yesterday until that fumble.

I been saying it all year. Our D-Line is the greatest weakness of this team. Davin bellamy and Lorenzo Carter screwed us yesterday as did the OL.

Our OL has played insane this whole season which makes Auburn even more disappointing but you could see the day coming where someone would gash us with their run game.
