Grantham is offered the DC job with Perv Bobby. He asks UGA if they want to match. They say "Hell no, have a nice life, best wishes". He leaves, Chris Wilson the DL coach interviews at Bama, (try's to twist Richt's arm for the DC spot) they hires someone else and he heads to USC (lateral move). Then Kirk Olivadotti gets the ILB job for the Washington Rednecks, lateral move to the NFL. Grantham did not try to take any of his old staff and Pruitt did not try to retain anyone. These guys were left out in the wind. With Lakatos resigning and these guys left out that tells me there's been a lot of trouble with our defense behind the scenes during the whole Grantham era. It surprises me that he did not try to take anyone from his former staff. Pruitt not retaining anyone does not surprise me but Grantham leaving them does. I think that there have been issues for the last couple of years. New D staff and new blood. GO DAWSG!

P.S- Who are Pruitt hiring for secondary, DL and linebackers. Post it if you know it.

Didn't Pruitt say in his presser that we had great coaches left and he and Richt wanted to retain them both? I don't think he wanted to have to hire a staff this close to NSD. I think he would've rather just gone out recruiting instead of adding interviews to his plate.

Both of those coaches interviewed for the DC as I have been led to believe and if that is correct then everybody knew they would go elsewhere once this hire was made.

It works the same in business.

KO moved up in a big way. He spent 11 years in the NFL and went back to the NFL, and got a significant pay raise. I wouldn't read anything into it.

Wilson is Miss St's former DC, it was a big step down to come be DL coach here. When he wasn't considered for DC, he saw that he had reached his pinnacle in Athens and decided to go somewhere else he would have a better chance of moving up. I don't know if he got a raise out of it, but I wouldn't read too much into him leaving either.

Or maybe they didn't want to work for him anymore.

Has anyone heard who Pruitt is going after for the DL coach or linebackers coach? I understand he is coaching the secondary but I am very curious to who he goes after for the other two.

Grantham supposedly asked Olivadotti to come with him, and he declined.

Apparently, of the 3 vacancies, UGA has a good idea for 2. Waiting on dominoes to fall. The third could be a dark horse.. At least that is what a well-connected guy on 247 is saying.

Yeah, waiting on what FSU does. If Kelly or Sunseri doesn't get promoted we probably go after one or both.
