like Bobo, but we have an OC. I think he should decide the offensive staff.

Also being Kirby's friend makes any candidate less appealing.

I tend to agree. We have seen this act before with CMR and it didn't end well.
The only caveat is I can't help but wonderful how long a veteran OC like Monken with stay with us. Hopefully he will if we offer him enough money.

I hope he wins a chip here and we we're no longer be able to afford him.

FIFY I think? Some fat fingers on the phone I assume. If so, I agree. Monken was hired as a "catch fire" sort of OC to transition to a more modern offensive scheme. I just want us to maximize the value of that hire and go ahead and capitalize next year. Win it all, and then figure out the rich man problem of who to replace him with once he gets hired away.

I'd be at least marginally interested in having Bobo as an Offensive analyst on staff and letting SC pay the majority of his salary, but I'm not convinced the game hasn't passed him by a bit as a strategist. Certainly wouldn't want to see him added as an on field coach in '21 by any means.

It's not like Colorado State, which isn't exactly a first-tier program, was in a hurry to keep him.
