Further proof that teams like TCU and Cincinnati don't belong on the big stage. They complete just fine in their little conferences but can't play with the big boys.

TCU beat #2 ranked Michigan.
That disproves your point.
That disproves your point.

Don't worry a 38 team playoff is coming to set your mind at ease.

Or it proves that Michigan was a bad pick two years in a row.

They beat Michigan, the big ten champion. Last night proves that we didn't play our best game against Ohio State, not that TCU didn't deserve to be there.

I think the 12 team is going to make for some really fun games and story lines, but it’s also going to negate the meaning of the regular season and conference championships. Furthermore when some little team squeaks through on a miracle it’s going to cause more games like we saw last night in the later rounds. My main gripe is that regular season games lose their consequences.

Will the bitching about who gets the 38th spot be more or less than the bitching over who didn't get in March Madness 66 teams

Who in the field do you put in over the undefeated B1G champ? 2 loss Bama?

Too bad you didn't get to see the game where Michigan beat Michigan. Two pick sixes. Three times inside the 5 and got 3 points...

a 13-0 team was the wrong pick?
please stop being foolish.

At the end of the day, Bama fricked themselves with losses to 2 teams we kicked the shite out of and Michigan shite the bed.

TCU doesn't play in a little conference, though.

I think TCU should have been #4 and OSU #3. The teams were correct but the matchups weren't.

The committee gave the Big10 a huge gift and Michigan shite the bed.

It is pretty hilarious that after however many something years of the bowl system, and thousands? of bowl games, that it only took the playoff committee 9 years to put together the most lopsided result in all of bowl history.
That definitely says something.
We’re so lucky to be peaking when we are because theres no telling what kind of unintended consequences are on the way for this sport thanks to the coming 12 team playoff fiasco.

Another way to look at this: UGA was the #1 team, and the #1 team won the national championship. In that respect, the committee got it exactly right.
What are we really upset about? That TCU didn't belong? Based on their resume before last night, many had argued (especially after beating Michigan) they they deserved to be there and they proved it.
The committee doesn't exist to necessarily give us the most exciting games, but the best 4 teams. In hindsight, it could be argued that Alabama, Tennessee, or another team may have been "better" than TCU and therefore deserved their spot, but when the selections were made a month ago, it was hard to argue against them.
I think the committee got the 4 teams right, and the best team in football saved its best game for last.

Yeah it will bc Tennessee and LSU could have gotten in a 12 team playoff this year. So what would it have mattered that we beat both of them soundly?

Exactly. The UGA-Tenn game means jack shite if a 3-loss team can still make the playoff.
"But seeding!"
No, that's bullshite. 12 million aren't going to tune into a regular season game because "seeding!" might be on the line.

Nobody. This year and last year prove that a 2 team BCS was the correct way.
