Seen some speculations on the Pods if it happens what are ours looking like if it proves that’s what they are going with?

I dont' think pods are happening. I was under the impression that the lague was deciding between a 1-7 model or a 3-6 model, and other than your permanent opponent(s) you'd just rotate everyone else.

If some of the leaks coming out are in fact true, I'd like to say I can't beleive how utterly fricking stupid the league is but actually yes I can believe it. They had UK as our 3rd opponent instead of SC due to some "recent 10 year success" metric or some shite.

Ross Dellenger "leaked" it but turns out it was his guess. He has since deleted the tweet.

It will likely be 3-6 to preserve as many rivalries as possible.

3-6 is great. I just hope ours is Auburn, Florida & SCar/Tennessee.

The thought of Tennessee's meltdown at having to continue to play UGA and Bama annually would be delicious.

I wouldn’t be too upset with that to an extent of the pounding we’ve gave Kentucky lately and understand the stupidity of replacing them with SC based on the “surge” that seems to be going on with SC

Kentucky is a better road trip than South Carolina.

For that reason alone, I'd prefer the wildcats.

I don't see Tennessee getting UGA and Bama. Especially since we don't have a huge history with them.

Ordinarily I'd assume the same, regarldess of who the "leak" came from. But what gave me pause was saban and Kelly both making public comments that seemed to corroborate it.

Glad to hear that it may in fact have just been BS.

Been wanting this to happen. Has to be scheduled in October for the Keeneland schedule though.

Those not wanting this I'm assuming have never made the Lexington trip.

Enough with the TN and Scar BS. With Auburn and UF, that's enough tradition.

us and tennessee were never (at least, from a logical perspective) going to be paired up in this new format.

It seems like it's going to be the 3-6 and Fl, Auburn, and SC. We have played SC every year since the 70's, but the UT rivalry has been really good since the 90's. Personally I think conferences should expand regionally, but too much politics involved. Clemson and FSU leaving the ACC would be a huge blow to them. Lot of the SEC road games are now going to require you to get on a plane for a weekend trip like Texas A&M, Austin, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

that's what it SHOULD be, if we're taking history/tradition/logic into account. But seeing that stupid "10 year" thing threw me for a loop so who knows. But I agree that's what our arrangment definiteily should be.

At least it's not bicoastal retardation like USC & UCLA being in the B1G.

I don’t know why it “should” be SC.

They are no more of a rival for us than KY or Vandy. Look at the records. Just because we are their biggest conference rival doesn’t mean there is a reciprocity.

Because we are their biggest conference rival and the only team in the league they have history with at all. The matchups aren't just what is best for Georgia. Getting our 2 historic rivals returning the favor to someone else continue good will when voting for things in the league meetings later.

You think Carolina fans are more concerned with their "rivalry" against UGA?
Or more concerned with finding a way to a SEC Championship and/or playoff spot?

Honest question.

I'd take Florida, Auburn, and GT regardless of how that impacts wins/losses.
I don't think Carolina feels the same way about UGA. I honestly think they would like to win something.

Yes.

Why do you prefer that we play florida and auburn? Could it be...because those are teams we have a century's long rivarlry with and are by far our biggest SEC opponents? You reaqlize that SC looks at us the same way right?

If SC gets 3 SEC opponents yearly, there should be no way whatsoever that UGA isn't one of them.

I honestly don't believe that.

Lots of teams have 1 sided rivalries.
But they are not comparable to 2 sided rivalries.

We've played Auburn 127 times.
We have a 48.6% win percentage.

We have played Carolina 75 times. We are 9 more wins against Auburn than we have against Carolina.
Going back to 1894, Carolina has 19 wins total.

I'm embarrassed that you confuse the passion by Carolina fans as equivalent to the passion by UGA fans for the WLOCP and DSOR.

I'm embarrassed that you can't picture anything other than through the lens of what you want as a fan of UGA sports. This isn't a difficult concept. SC is over 30 games behind in their rivalry with clemson, I guess using your logic they should be looking for a way out of it ASAP.
