Hotels are going quick. Better book something now. Closest I could get was the Drury Inn like 10 miles from the stadium. Marriott were all sold out.

Maybe some Buckeyes will start canceling their reservations. I don’t know to go for tickets now or not cheapest in the door price is 1300 with fees. I paid 1600 in 2017.

If it’s Georgia Michigan it’s going to be a tough tough ticket. Any other matchup I think it’s cheaper.

We got the Hampton Inn and Suites in Avon and also booked a Home2 in Columbus about 40 minutes away in case we had to drive for any reason. We have a plan and backup plan. Rented a Wrangler ready at the airport and have two days worth of parking in a deck next to the convention center.

Funny thing, Michigan was about $25 two or three weeks ago.

All day Saturday, I was texting with a buddy of mine who is UM alum and bleeds Maize & Blue, and once their win was official, he goes, "Where is the national championship game even played this year?"

Me: "Lucas Oil Stadium, in Indy"

"Is it a dome or open air?"

Me: "You're playing there next week for the B1G Championship, my man."

Poor Wolverines are so shell-shocked by tOSU's dominance of the last decade, he didn't even know where their champ game was held, since it had changed venues since his team last went.

Not at all surprised. I’m kinda happy for them. As a kid, Michigan was a team I really liked because I already hated OSU and enjoyed watching Charles Woodson. I’ll be super pumped if it’s UGA vs. Meatchicken. Couldn’t ask for a better draw, really.

UGA Michigan would be a great color combo game, as well as a great meeting of 2 historic programs for all the marbles.

Almost makes me sad to know we'll run them out of the stadium after their first great year back.

I only know two UM fans, and one I stay in touch with as referenced by the story above. The other was a salty old lady who was a terror of a Property Manager, and she regifted me a UGA garden gnome that someone gave her, not knowing she was Michigan till death.

We named him Munson, and 12 years later, we still have him.
