I don't dislike Beck, he has tools for sure, but he created some of the situations we had to comeback from. Wish him the best no matter what he does

Beck was ranked 3rd in SEC in QBR. Imagine where he lands without the drops and wrong routes?

I don't have a problem with anything you said.
To me this type of discussion sports board should acknowledge divergent opinions.
I often learn things even from opinions I don't agree with. It opens the mind to different perspectives.
Beck has been controversial this season.
The big NIL deal, the rental Lambo and his less than engaging personality I think in part have contributed to negative opinions.
I don't know that these aspects have created any negatives in the locker room but I can see how they might.
The main issue has been increase in turnovers this season compared to last season.
And yes, we know we have issues with our current receiver room but objectively I expected a drop-off compared to who we had in the amazing Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey. And frankly, Beck should have expected this as well and adjusted his passing accordingly by making more accurate passes with touch that makes them easier to catch.
I know those here more knowledgeable than I disagree, but I think that the no look/timing patterns are a bad idea when don't have reliable receivers.
A veteran QB and the OC have to recognize the limitations of their receivers and adjust play calling to compensate.
I will be glad to have the veteran QB, Beck, back if he decides to return next season but I think it might be better for the team if one of the more mobile backups wins the job in 2025 because I would like to see more dual-threat run-pass options in the offense.
We are not recruiting as well on offense as we are on defense so I think we need a dual-threat QB to compensate for the lack of dynamic playmakers like we had in Bowers and McConkey.

It's still not something you wanna put in the universe

And speaking of our WR recruiting. Neither Bowers or McConkey were highly recruited receivers. They developed into great players. So, what is the problem with GA attracting highly recruited receivers.

Bobo did that.
But we know you hate Bobo so it's a moot point.

I think Kirby and Co know that.

The problem is Bowers and McConkey are the exception rather than the rule.
This rule is that 5 star players are highly ranked because they have more talent and potential and generally are able to contribute at a higher level.

I'm pretty sure Bowers was highly recruited.
GurleyGirl, why don't you like to play hangman?

Bowers was a high 4star and the #2 TE in HS.

Please cite where I ever said I hate Bobo.
First, hate is a very strong word and I rarely use it.
Second, as a UGA alumnus I appreciate Bobo's contribution to our university both on and off the field.
I know he is good friends with Kirby and I respect that.
But our offense was better under Monken and we recruited better.
Monken was/is a well respected OC which is why he is an NFL level OC.
I am concerned that we are not attracting the same level of talent on offense as we are on defense because Bobo is not perceived as talented as an OC as Kirby is with his DC background.
Bottom line: we need an OC who can reel in 5 star players on offense and develop them into a well oiled machine. I hope that person will be Mike Bobo.

Picture has been posted of Beck showing his uniform on a hoodie that says “who wants me”. So I’d say he is likely gone.

It’s just that your opinions are stronger than your understanding of football, yet you are confident in your opinions. What does that say about you?

Have you seen the WR class for this coming year? I'd say that will hopefully put that "concern" to rest.

It's been pretty obvious by your comments on/about him in the past.

Ah, so you can't cite that I said I hate Bobo.
As I said, hate is a strong word and I don't use it often.
But I understand your perspective.
No, I don't hate Bobo but I don't like his play-calling often on 3rd and short type plays. We too often aren't sustaining drives with first downs and have notorious slow 1st half starts. This suggests lack of preparation and play calling that isn't working.
And even if you explain this away as poor execution by the players, no matter how you spin it the responsibility is on the OC to coach up talented players recruited by the coaches.
We have a good defense but if you keep giving good teams opportunities on offense, they will score on our defense.
Also I don't like that we aren't recruiting as well on offense as defense. If you look at our roster, most of our 5 star players are on defense.
But yea, I am hopeful that we will be able to retain some of the high level offensive recruits in our 2025 class. We will see.

You sweet summer child
The OC can put his players in the best position to win, but if the players don't execute his plan then how is that on the OC?

It’s good, but not so good that I feel much better about that overall position group for next season.
