Best of luck and a DGD. Your national championship play will never be forgotten.

Hope he’s ok.

Thank you for helping shut down the Alabama passing game in the 4th quarter of the national championship, William!

We bleed DBs like crazy.

It is probably the toughest coached position in Athens.
And when playing time (or position) is not to the player's expectations, they are quick to go.

I don't know how much to read into Kirby's comments, but he said it was a personal issue and that he'd be stepping away from the team to deal with it the rest of the season. I feel like he's been in Athens a while, though, so it might effectively be the end of his college playing days either way?

You are probably correct.
I don't have any insider info.

I just know his playing time has been limited (both last season and this fall).

Not even factoring in the experienced guys on roster, but we brought on 4 DBs in the 2022 class all rated .965+

I know the whole team is always competing and "sharpening" one another, but the DB competitions have to be bat shite insane. All highly rated, all coached at an elite level, and at the toughest position on the Defense (Athletically speaking)

First Brini and then Poole. That CB position is rough on players.

Who’s been taking Poole’s position?

Mostly Bullard.
Tykee Smith has also been at nickel.

When we go to dime, Malaki and Dan Jackson are both on the field at the same time (so no room there either).

His extra effort in 4Q is critical to our NC last year.

Hope the kid is ok. DawgNation should all thank him. Like so many others, he busted his arse and helped bring UGA a lot of hardware during his time in Athens. DGD in my book. Wish him nothing but the absolute best in the future.

Matt Landers is also a starting WR for Arkansas now.

Good luck William. Like many said, he was instrumental in that Natty. It also seems like he was one of Richts recruits he had been here so long.

He also had over 100 yds receiving on Saturday and was their leading receiver.

Divaad Wilson
Tyreque Stephenson
Latavious Brini
Jalen Kimber

All had starts in their career at nickel (except kimber who was hurt).

I saw Matt Landers make a real nice play and wondered if there could be 2 Matt Landers. I wish him and Arkansas success in the division.

Now starting for Florida, like Brenton Cox. Yet couldn't crack our 2-deep.

He was injured.

I've been told he would have been a starter.
