Confirmed. Supposedly in “treatment” for the weed addiction that’s destroying his life. I certainly wouldn’t want him to OD on the marijuanas

He wasn’t playing well this season when compared to the rest of the team anyways.

Better to have him not play than take any chance of him being ruled ineligible to play down the road and having to vacate the win. Just my 02

It's true, but the issues he faces are serious, and not just about pot. Hopeful that he gets the help he needs and still graduates.

Good to have an experienced 5th year senior ready to start in his place as opposed to a true freshman.

It sounds like it's for prescription painkillers and I hope he gets everything squared away then comes back to lead us to back to back sec titles

I feel like he kinda has to go pro. He can't risk coming back and failing a test and never having a shot at the pros.

NFL drug tests are known well in advance. Since he won't be living in the dorms, he can just smoke in his home.

It's good UGA is getting him help instead of kicking him out. Also it's good he's not playing. Imagine the back lash when we win the National Championship with him playing. But it falls on Patrick to want to get help.

Kirby should suspend him for this game but should not kick him off the team. Patrick should be made to sit in Athens and watch on TV. If they go on to the big game, allow him to participate and come in certain situations. Patrick is not going to make Kirby his bitch. Kirby will not allow himself...

Kirby the great thinks more like myself and Jefferson. Not surprising as we are all highly ethical people.

Pro scouts know everything happening now. I'd want to see him clean for a year, before even giving him a free agent offer. That's just my opinion lol

Yeah, they may see him as another Josh Gordon.

I just don't see him being clean for a year.

More big-game experience for Rice.

This greatly helps our future more than it mildly hurts our present.
