I’d drive about 2 1/2 more hours to Ponce Inlet. Especially if you’re using Air B&B. Nice beach. Far enough away from Daytona. Awesome sunset/sunrise. Excellent, fresh, seafood, restaurants.

Add to that killer surfing. Best on the East Coast IMO.

Well, sounds like a great setup. But, we didn't have it that easy back in the 70's.

My brother was the CAM for Windsor soccer from 89-92, so you played against him most likely. We never played Calvary when I was a student.

I'm sure I played against him. We tied Windsor once but they beat us every other time. Windsor I think was runner up in the city my senior year - 1990. You probably knew Dino and Louis. 2 brothers that were really good that played for Windsor.

They came after I left. We won city my senior year in '88 by beating SCD 2-1 after falling behind for the only time the entire season (we were unbeaten). Should have won it in '87 too, but Johnson scored a fluke goal and played with 10 guys in their own half for 60 minutes to upset us 1-0.

Blew my knee out 3 minutes after scoring the equalizer and my replacement scored the winner with 5 minutes left.

Great memories. Calvary played in the GISA in 88 and I didn't play soccer so we played schools like Frederica Academy, Stratford, and Presbytarian. We played GHSA 89 and on so we started playing public schools. I think BC won the city in 89 and Country Day won in 90. Dino was probably the best player in the city both 89 & 90.

I apologize for hijacking but to my questions on page 1..any recommendations for places to go on tybee for good seafood? Also I'm seeing 2 areas to choose from for air bnb; the lower southeast part of the island and the northeast part near what's labeled North Beach. Any input or advice on which is better?

North Beach is where most of the locals hang out. It's less touristy and more secluded. South Beach is where the tourists hang out and there's more going on there.

The good thing is they are only 10 minutes or less apart. As far as seafood restaurants go, you're better off going off island to either Wilmington Island or Thunderbolt or back into downtown Savannah in my opinion. Are you looking for real casual or a little more upscale?

I think stingrays or Aj’s is better than any place on Wilmington or thunderbolt.

Kinda partial to Tubby's in Thunderbolt, although those two are perfectly good.
