I know most of you couldn't give two shats about the NFL, but hear me out. Bob Costas has relieved himself of his role in their football broadcasts and the below is their lineup of on-air talent for the upcoming season. One of these things is not like the other....

NBC plans to keep its “Football Night in America” team intact. Sunday night host Dan Patrick and Thursday night host Liam McHugh will handle hosting duties in Minneapolis, while Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Mike Florio, Chris Simms and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will also have prominent roles.

Exactly. WTF?

The guy could barely get out a coherent thought when interviewed before and after races. How is he going to make this jump and more importantly........WHY???

I wish I could be so rewarded for consistently sucking at my day job.

Costas is gone? But who will provide needless moral posturing in lieu of game commentary?

None of these guys really seem up to the role. I doubt if any of them can sing The Internationale without sheet lyrics, and none of them can do it in the original Russian.
