Oh shut up, you freaking retard loser.

Guess what, idiot, the 51% don't get to take away votes or vote negative.

Reagan took 49 states with just a 50% approval rating.

And right now, Mondale >>>>> than that massive freaking LOLclown dementia-ridden kid-toucher creepazoid extablishment-count, Biden.

So you're fricked. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I really, really hope you’re right. I just have no idea what trajectory you’re looking at with this.

Let's try to keep this topic about corona virus and 70's film-art. The last thing we need is this thread getting whacked.

What’s the word on pending shelter in place. NC just did it for 30 days. SC still hasn’t but we’re still pretty mild except for the urban areas.

I’m torn on this as I get the need...but 30 days will put a lot of businesses under. I have a friend in the banking business who also tells me the application process the govt requires for emergency loans is a bitch and not a quick turnaround.

It sucks. I have a lot of friends who are losing their jobs as well. I’m fortunate that this isn’t going to affect what I do for a living, but there are a lot of people that are in pretty crappy situations, especially people who own restaurants and other small businesses. It’s a really tough line to manage between making sure we take care of people’s health, while also keeping the economy where it should be.

Keep in mind, you've been pushing an exaggerated agenda shrouded in dishonesty, at the expense of real people, all because you're drowning in hateful partisanship. Who does that remind you of? Every limp-wristed self-loathing insecure crybaby loser and shite human being every normal person knows and laughs at daily.

Wrong. I despise both parties and the partisanship rivalry people like you are obsessed with. It holds this nation back from being better.

You just described Trump over the past 2 months. Just because I think Trump has failed miserably at navigating the nation through this doesn't mean I love Bernie. Only an unhinged simple minded loon would reach that illogical conclusion. I would never vote for either.

Expense in what way? I am on the side of saving lives, and preserving our health care system. You only care about money. Just an angry, greedy SOB.

Both sides are doing this and you’re kidding yourself if you don’t think so.

While I generally agree, comparisons with the previous H1V1 pandemic are inevitable and reasonable.
And it is clear that the Trump administration has responded to the Coronavirus pandemic more quickly and in every way better (based on their own liberal sense of urgency) than did Obama during the Swine Flu crisis yet the liberal progressive Obama supporters in this forum continue their obviously partisan hateful bashing of Trump.
Meanwhile during the H1V1 pandemic, I don't remember any criticism of Obama by his supporters relative the response by his administration, an obliging news media played it down and the economy rolled right along with no school or businesses being closed and no stock market crash.
Bottom line: total double-standard biased hackery by Democrats/Obama supporters and their compliant news media.

I think the Trump admin. started out treating this like another variant of the flu, similar to H1N1. H1N1 pushed the season's flu numbers well outside of their normal range, but still followed the seasonal curve. Covid19 is not the same and it was not predicted to be the same. The difference, in my view, is that one administration listened to the experts and the other did not, at least not at first. And this has cost us precious time.

You do know these estimates made by the CDC were 8 months into H1N1 in November, correct?

They were guessing on deaths that had already occurred and were only projecting for December.

No matter how you spin it, over 1000 Americans had died including over 100 children before Obama declared a national emergency in the U.S.:
LINK

Compare that with Trump's response, Johns Hopkins had reported:
"There are at least 2,028 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. and 48 coronavirus-related deaths, according to data compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University and ABC News reporting."
LINK

Bottom line: typical celebrated double-standard by Democrats and their supportive liberal news media.

New York requests 30k ventilators from the federal government. Trump says governors have to be nicer to him if they want cooperation then says he "has a feeling" (based on the fact that he's a smart guy) 30,000 ventilators aren't needed.

New York gets 400 ventilators. And governors are now strategizing on how to best flatter or fight the president in order for Americans in their states to get help.

Cuomo admits to thousands of ventilators in storage

quote:

Yes, they’re in a stockpile because that’s where they are supposed to be, because we don’t need them yet,” Cuomo said. “We need them for the apex, the apex isn’t here, so we’re gathering them in a stockpile.

Cuomo’s comments demonstrate there is not an immediate shortage in ventilators in the city, despite alarming reports.

We don’t need them today, because we’re not at capacity today, that’s why they’re not deployed because they’re not needed,” Cuomo said.

Exactly so no one is dying due a poor response by the Trump administration or our nation as a whole.
In fact, the fatality rate due to the Coronavirus in the U.S. has been and is significantly less compared to the world as a whole. As I type this, the Johns Hopkins data:

Fatalities divided by cases:

World: 28125/607965 = 4.62%

U.S.: 1711/104860 = 1.63%

I don't know what a national emergency means in practical terms. If you want to say he did a better job than the last guy, fine. OK. He is be better at this than Obama was.

That's not good enough for me.

So are you saying BHO listened to the "experts" when these estimates were made 8 months into the pandemic?
