Side note - that's happened at my facility. Because of the way joint commission grades facilities, we have to use new masks every time you leave a room even if you have one patient. Now with boxes of them disappearing, we have to sign them out every time to prevent a massive shortage.

Honestly...when the numbers become significant as compared to the population. As bad as Italy is there are 60M people there. Their issues are more about their shitty socialist healthcare system. Most major US cities have two or more health systems as good as the best in Italy.

I don’t want to discount any death but those cards were dealt in the time China lost control of the contagion in Wuhan. It was inevitable. This thing will work it’s way through our population either sooner or later ... preferably later.

I understand that we need to slow the number of people that need hospital care until we can have adequate capacity .... but I do have a problem with bankrupting millions of people to do it.
