make promises about testing he couldn’t keep.

Okay, he was misinformed about the availability of tests and how the previous tests they had on hand couldn't detect it. However, you trying to tell me that many people died because they weren't tested? Just saying, that would be extremely limited. The treatment for this is the exact same as the regular flu. If you were sick with COVID, you would still be on massive fluids, rest and avoiding others. I know the media is trying to "getcha OMB," but be real about that effects of not having the actual test on hand.

But if more were tested, faster, more people would have strictly quarantined earlier, but instead they continue the spread, there's no telling how many millions of people will die because of the president's ineptitude. And if you don't buy that, it's because you don't understand science and advanced mathematics.

My Conpiracy Theory (purely in jest, based on an idea for a book I will never write).

Trump has developed a drug that will sterilize people without harm. He creates a scary pandemic event, and then quickly developes a vaccine. Then he distributes the vacine worldwide including the new drug for our enemies. In 40 years their population will decline from natural deaths and no births. That, once discovered, will be blamed on a sexually transmitted disease.

Defeating our enemies with no killing. Again just in jest.

edit: Nice one Deep, Upvote

I dislike Trump and think he is unfit to be President. That being said, I get not testing every single person given that false negatives have been rampant; telling someone they don’t have it when it’s just in its incubation stage gives them license to spread it.

In short, I’m not going to blame Trump for lack of testing. He’s still an arse and a poor representative of our country but he’s probably done a better job this past week than at any other point in his presidency. I’ll give him that.

The latest from the GA task force..

LINK

10 dead, 287 confirmed cases.

3.48% death rate ain't bad considering they are only testing people who are requiring hospitalization.

They are now doing alot of testing on healthcare workers, cops, etc, drive through testing, so we should see that rate sink like a rock in the coming days once some of the healthy people start getting counted, and we start closing the selection bias gap. Science!

If failing to avoid contact causes hospitals to be overwhelmed a lot of doctors and nurses are going to get sick and die. Sure, old people are vulnerable but we aren't as threatened as the medical people are.

My next door neighbor is a young doctor at Phoebe Putney. Even though he is a Bama grad who flies the big A flag on the front of his house, I worry that he is in danger.

You mean South Korea is doing it right? Test everyone who feels gassy or worse, lowers the contraction rate and death rate???

Imagine that!!! Thought this was gonna kill 1M Americans this year

Why are the drs and nurses gonna start dying? Do you think repeated exposure increases the symptoms?

Yes, I think that the degree of exposure might explain why doctors and nurses in their 30s and 40s were dying in China. I hope that isn't the case. I haven't heard about medical people dying in Italy so it might not be the case.

It helps isolate positives thus reducing the spread, which in turn keeps the hospitals from overloading.

So clueless. Flu treatment involves tamilfu, which doesn’t work for this.

And again, Using your logic, there is nothing that can prove this was worthwhile. is this correct?

All these years I thought you were just obtuse. I didn't know you were literally dumb.

Haha. Do you understand what Tamiflu does??? It reduces the length of symptoms. It doesn’t mean you get to go out and party and don’t have to rest and drink a shitload of water

What if I told you that because we have Tamiflu, more people don’t get vaccinated and end up dying than would if we didn’t have Tamiflu??

An effective antiviral would be great to have for Covid 19. So would a vaccine.

This hydroxychloroquine looks to be very promising.

Might just be a miracle cure.

What if people don't get vaccinated because they think an antiviral will save them, should they contract it. Antiviral does not cure the virus....

Of course, but keep in mind that less than 50% of Americans get the seasonal Vaccine each year....

Trump on January 22: “No worries about a pandemic.” “No, not at all. We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.”

Trump on February 27: “It’s going to disappear. One day — it’s like a miracle — it will disappear.”

Trump on March 7: [asked if concerned about virus spreading] “No, I’m not concerned at all. No, I’m not. No, we’ve done a great job.”

Trump on March 16: “This is a pandemic.” “I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic.”

He went from the position that it's a Democratic hoax to it's a pandemic.

Maybe he should get credit for being flexible?

Ok, but let’s get back to what you continue to avoid:
