-dude pissing in Saul office = 100% written by woman writer quota (trying too hard)

-how many times do we need a scene of “pop pop” doting over his granddaughter while she engages in a learning project? We get it already. Sheesh

-Pop-pop does make a Jupiter fart joke though (props)

-scene opens with overhead shot of Kim doing dishes. She pulls stopper….and everything spirals down the drain. Literally. Get it?

-one of the post-it note says “Red Bull” ( caffeine theme is real)

-Picknicking at HHM. Unreal!! Even lamer the second time watching!!!! How is this happening?!?!

-obvious sinister line cross shot of wires framing an X over the Goodman’s apartment. Wires crossed?. Uh oh

-and the final scene is an obvious Line festival. Kim abandons the noble and righteous pro bono line to help the downtrodden…and U-turns on to the line back towards evil dark spiteful revenge and ruin

-in other words, “Ever little thing The Reflex does is an answer to the question maaaarrrrkkkk”

The Mike scene was pointless and added no value to the episode. We get it Mike loves his family but is okay with lying to them. And also the writers not letting us know the scam they are pulling on Howard is just frustrating at this point. It has dragged on too long and I understand they were given extra episodes but I hope it gets wrapped up next episode.
So are we on the same page that Lalo gets killed in the super lab and is buried underneath before the concrete gets poured.
I’m in the group that thinks Kim is literally scamming Jimmy/Saul and she’s pulling the strings to her advantage. That’s why she made the U Turn it has to happen today and she’s throwing her dreams away to make sure the scam goes along as planned. That would explain the final transformation of Jimmy McGill to Saul Goodman. He literally suggested Jesse and Walt kill Badger the first time we met him in Breaking Bad. The man we have now is not that guy.
Loved Joe DeRosa showing back up as the vet. I wonder how Saul gets the little black book because we know he gets it because it was showed to us in the first episode of the season wine and roses.

Caffeine Theme is Real

Spoiler: Don’t read below if you don’t want to know what happens to Howard

-The only scene of Howard and his frigid wife involved the most complex cup of coffee in American history

-After he’s done turning the dials and adjusting the levers on that contraption , and tracing lines within a circle , he does something obvious

-Howard puts a decaffeinated earl grey tea bag in a stainless steel 16 oz yeti tumbler

-skip to next scene where corrupt veterinarian tells Saul and Hork-girl that whatever pills he’s giving them, the effect depends on “caffeine tolerance “

-the next scene after this is of hork-wexler and Taylor grand-auditorium guitar lawyer slurping courthouse vending machine burned rank coffee slop

-conclusion: the thing the Saul/Kim dorks got off the vet is obviously meant for Howard

-but it will hit him harder than they anticipated due to Howards clean living

-the conference call Line they are listening on together thinking they had it all post it note figured out fool proof……suddenly goes chaotic!

-people are panicking!!

-sound of a dial tone: Unnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn…..

-Jimmy and Kim hop in the ford escort and race to HHM

-to see the ambulance carrying Howard leave the parking lot

-fade to black roll credits

-and you get to wait 6 weeks to find out what happens

Early 4th season

good, you're getting caught up.

Jefferson- I saw a tweet from one of the writers taht said this season was written as essentially a 13-episode story arc so the fact that tonight juts happens to be the mid-season break wasn't accounted for. In other words, we may not get a typical/expected face melter of a cliff hanger.

Coudl be a diversion tactic who knows. But I think after the last few eps we defintiely deserve a melting. Hopefully we get one.

Im keeping expectations low. The frustrating way this season has gone so far, I would bet we get some kind of luke warm cliffhangar where it seems like something serious actually occured, that we have to wait 6 weeks to see resolved. Never forget that the boxing scene happened or that Jim and Kimmy picnicked at HHM. Still can’t believe either of those are real

As for the mid-season hiatus, I was on the season 6 Wikipedia page to look up the title of this episode, and it says on there that the 6 week midseason hiatus is because AMC wanted the first half to be eligible for some bullshite awards ceremony and the second half is past the cutoff date and would be eligible for next years TV awards. Unbelievable. A two year wait for the last season of the slowest show on earth and we get a 6 week hiatus tacked on so that hollywood assholes get an extra opportunity to pat each other on the back on red carpets

Sidenote on episode titles. Last weeks was Axe and Grind. Which is an expreassion, but there was also a physical axe. And grind” i believe has double meaning and plays into the caffeine theory. As in coffee grinder. And tonights episode is Plan and Execution. Which is also an expression. We know about Jim and Kimmys plan. But could there another meaning to “Execution” beyond executing the plan. Uh oh.

Reverse engineering that whole Howard setup .... it's worse than the picnic.

Well, they saved it. All the slow burn slow-paced watching paint dry finally paid off with a massive facemelter in the end. I knew Howard was going to die somehow this season, and that it would be an unintended consequence of what Jim and Kimmy were pulling, so that really wasn't shocking to me. But I never imagined it happening in Kim's apartment in front of her and Jimmy like that. With his blood and brains splattering onto that painting with the post-it note dork plan on the back. And a corpse in the living room for them to clean up. My gosh that was intense. And I bet we get a scene of that painting soon of the blood and brain chunks being wiped off and the post-it notes removed to hammer home the point of what they have done. (That painting was also one of the items being packed up by the movers in Saul's Maralago mansion to open the season btw. So, that dirtbag kept it even though it once had brain chunks on it from a murder he set in motion. What a guy.)

Anyway, the picnic at HHM is still the worst thing thats ever happened in the history of either show, but I think I actually understand the cringy boxing scene now. It kind of set the table that HOward was never going to do what many would do. WHich is barge into Kims apartment and beat the ever living shite out of her husband and then spit in Kim's face and take a dump in their fish tank. He was always going to take the high road. But it is an extremely high road that he took, so I guess the boxing thing tries to show he does have at least a little bit of warm blood.

And man, Kim has turned into such a disgusting weirdo. What type of psychopath gets horned up at listening to another human being suffer? I mean, they didn't even bother to keep listening to see what happened with the Sand Piper settlement because listening to the humilation of Howard got her so hot, they had to hit the Saul couch for a heavy petting session complete with the same sound effects they use when she horks down on a plate of something.

But, I really enjoyed the HOward speech at the end and am glad that those two scumbags got to hear the truth about themselves. Everything he said also shows that the writers understand that it really doesn't make any sense at all to the audience yet for Kim to be doing what she's doing. Because it still feels like such a radical change for her this season. At least with what we know about her so far. And I guess we'll find out how much of an actual psychopath she really is with how they handle the cover up of Howard's murder. One of the last sentences HOward spoke was that he would spend the rest of his life showing the world who they really are, or something like that. Well, he didn't get to live to do it, but his death will 100% show us who they really are..... Kind of like Walter White's giant leap past the point of no return when he let Jessie's gilrfriend choke out on barf chunks. He didn't technically murder her, just like Kimmy and Jim didn't technically murder HOward, but they all still ahve some responsiblity . And now what? Where do they go from here? Theres a luandry list of felonies that are about to be committed to cover up the mess in their living room by someone. Will Kim actually take part in that?

Anyway, I hope HOward revised his will after that bitch scoffed at the peace-a-chino he took 10 minutes to make for her. I doubt it though, so she'll get everything and the life insurance and the company, and the Namast3 mobile. ANother kick in the nuts to poor old HOward. Also, were we suppose to laugh at Lalo peering out of the sewer? I laughed out loud for some reason. He's popping up in German martini bars, in sewers, and in apartments during heated exchanges. DUde has impecable timing. And how about that intro shot of the two yellow lines right down the middle and then a circle (the man hole cover) opens up out of the dark right where they terminate? When the lines reach cIrcles, it means death. The lines coming full circle for certain characters. THey were everywhere right before Nacho went out, and they were everywhere right before Howard went down. Think back to last week also. There was that random and seemingly out of place shot of the outside of Kimmy And Jim's apartment with a circle and two wires crossing inside of it. ANd, bang, Howard gets murdered inside that apartment the next time we see it.

The D-Day setup was to poison photographs with a psychoactive substance, and the photographs themselves were of a fake retired judge taking a fake payoff from Saul, delivered by a fake private investigator, all to culminate on this one and only day of arbitration for the dear sweet owner of the Alpine Shepard Boy, with the result being that Saul's cut of the sandpiper case gets cut by millions, just to humiliate Howard, I think it sucked. It was over-written and doesn't make sense anywhere.

I respect the brutal negativity and think it’s well deserved. In fact, you might be being too polite. The whole last minute broken arm / cast film reshoot is Hollywood people jerking to themselves with inside jokes about camera resolutions and shrubs on end of a sound boom and Kim yelling “Action. Again!” Like an inside joke I don’t get . Just super gross biz circle jerking

Also the preview of what’s to come only being a black and white shot of Kim’s apartment with Sauls voice cracking is hilarious

That being said. It’s a fun spot to try and predict how they will try to save face

It’s probably intentional, but at this point, I hope Lalo pops out of a sewer and decapitates Kim
