I like eating at the Varsity before going to a Falcons game.....but that's about the only time I'll have it.

I'll go ahead and add another one.

Lane's peach farm.
Thankfully every time I go to visit my friend at southern, I drive right by here.
And every time I do, I always stop in the restaurant and get some peach cobbler. There is no better peach cobbler....anywhere.

Damn... I'd forgotten about Speeds, frickin' great seafood. Do they still shut down for the winter a coupla weeks after the WLOCP?

Speed's is the dookie. Yeah, They still close for the winter. You know a restuarant that is made up of a couple doublewides welded together has to be good.

Next tiime you are in that area, you need to check out the Old School Diner. Very similar to Speed's food but much different atmosphere. They also have a wheelchair platter that if you finish it, they actually put you in a wheelchair and wheel you out to your truck.

Anybody ever gone to Buckner's in Jackson? Whenever we're headed down to Dudley for turkey season it's a must that we stop in on the way down and the way back. Great fricking fried chicken and country style vegetables.

I am loving how the restaurant is sitting on the water like that.
Have actually never been to Jekyll Island.

Is that on the pier at the Jekyll Inn? Marsh side of island?

Gotta add it to the WLOCP list...

If any yall venture down to Columbus GA and want a cheap meal, this has been a long time favorite.

Only thing really worth getting there is the scrambled dog, but it is a place you walk in and always see someone you know.

Yeah, it is. It really is the only thing anyone ever gets there. But I also love chili dogs, so this is just like crack to me.

That place really had the best fried chicken I have ever had, unfortunately the owner was pretty old and decided to close it down even though he was raking in some money. If you went there on a sunday after church the line to get in was all the way out of the door.
