Good for your sir. It is one thing to walk the walk rather than talk the talk as you attempted to point in your racial comments where you said live in a white southern circle and hear what's said. If you hear bad shite then confront it then and there, not here on a message board. What battle have you won here? Yes both sides have complete idiots and I get that but I can't stand people who say they are voting for Hillary because of Trump when she has more shite in her closet than we could all post here in a years time.

My mother in law is voting for her and I've told her many time just tell me your voting for her because she is a woman and your a democrat and I'm fine with that but don't patronize my by trying to convince me that she is the best horse in a shitty two horse race.

The liberals want power, and people in power fear those who have the means to remove their power. An armed citizenry is essential to preventing those in power from abusing it. Liberals want to limit the ability of those to fight back, and here's how they will do it.

As stated, it's practically impossible to go door to door to confiscate firearms. It would cause riots and lead to bloodshed all over, both for those with the guns and for those trying to take them away.

If you can't have an all-at-once confiscation, how to you remove guns?

1. Go after manufacturers and dealers by making it so expensive (either in taxes or red tape or by allowing lawsuits against them for deaths by firearms) to do business that they shut down completely or move out of the US.

2. Ban imports of firearms into the US. This paired with getting manufacturers out of the US means that new guns will be extremely difficult to come by for law-abiding citizens.

3. Ban transfer of firearms from one person to another. This will take care of passing firearms down from parents to children.

These three thing by themselves can reduce legal firearm ownership down to nothing in just one or two generations. But wait, there's more!

4. Ban carrying firearms in public (anywhere not at your own residence). This will mean people will be arrested and guns confiscated when you try to defend yourself away from your home. More guns off the streets.

5. Ban "assault rifles" completely. It was done before, and the definition of "assault rifle" can and will change many times over to include many types of rifles and even hand guns that don't pass a political test (if it has a thing that goes up...)

6. Ban common ammo and heavily tax what remains. California already banned lead ammo for certain big game and it will be illegal to hunt anything in the state with lead by July of 2019. They claimed it was concern for the environment, but whatever. They can use the same or similar arguments to ban lead-based ammo for non hunting firearms, too. They can call it an environmental or health hazard. This will make it nearly impossible to find ammo for your legal firearms, and it will cost an arm and a leg to buy it if you find it.

7. Make stand-your-ground (castle doctrine) illegal. By saying you have to try to run away or do something else before pulling a gun to defend yourself, you can make legal gun owners criminals for trying to defend themselves. Also, removing laws that protect people from civil litigation for legal self defense will prevent people from using guns to defend themselves in their homes.

8. Prevent purchase and ownership of firearms for people on certain lists. The no-fly list was bandied about months ago, but it's a good example of how politics can remove freedoms without due process. The IRS targeted conservative groups with audits and denial of special tax statuses for political reasons, and the same can happen to these "lists" that prevent firearm purchases when there is no due process. Just add a name or a group of names (NRA members might eventually become suspect of domestic terrorism by liberal, so let's just add the membership list to the database of potential terrorist suspects) and make it extremely difficult for them to get their names off the list.

9. Prevent purchase and ownership of firearms for people deemed mentally unfit, and then change the definition of "unfit". Similarly to #8, all they need to do is say that if you've ever been diagnosed with depression in your life, saw a therapist for any reason, took any prescription drugs on a particular list, or hell, if you've ever been arrested for being in a fight or fired for yelling at a coworker, you might show up on a list of mentally unstable individuals who have no right to have a firearm. With mental illness being somewhat fluid and definitions changing so often, it wouldn't be hard to disqualify a substantial part of the US population from owning firearms.

In addition, politicians can require insurance for firearms; make it illegal to carry any firearm across state lines; make owners liable for stolen firearms; and a host of other methods that will incrementally reduce overall gun ownership and make legal gun owners criminals. And all that's needed a liberal majority in the Supreme Court, which will happen if Hillary is elected.

people can say whatever they want and they'll still be my friends. I'm not gonna sit around listening to a klan rally but I'm not gonna be some SJW and freak out over a comment or joke.

My point wasn't that I'm a martyr, it's to say that the racial crap goes on everywhere, and given where I'm from and who I hang around, I see/hear way more messed up stuff coming from people who, uh, look like me lol.

oh that hurts, you crushed me. I'm typing on a phone as time allows and I've got you complaining. Is this the best you got? Pathetic!

When it comes to my vote for Trump please at least read what I've said. I didn't vote for him in the primary and I don't consider myself to be a Trump supporter. He is the lesser of two evils.

quote:

And if you don't want me to base my feelings for Donald off his speeches,
debates, and actions, what do you want me to base them off of?

I could give a shite about your feelings. I'm a Marine and your feelings are no concern of mine. Start by doing some research. For yourself! Do I really have to explain that politicians say what needs to be said to get elected? Trump is a first time candidate so he is bound to say stupid shite and if that needs to be explained maybe you should vote for Hillary.

Do you believe those in the media are unbiased? If so ask yourself why what Trump said on those recording were the biggest topic for just over a week while none of the wikkileak stuff got any real air time? Just yesterday a video came out with information on the Democratic partying engaging in criminal crap at Trump rallies. Donna Brazile has been caught red handed giving Hillary a verbatim question in the first debate but you hardly heard any of that. Why? Meanwhile we got so called conservatives like you saying Hillary's the better candidate.

You guys vote your conscience and do the best with what you've got but this is what another four years of Clinton will get you!

There is no doubt the vast majority of news outlets have a liberal bias. I don't see how any rational person could deny or challenge that. But a huge issue I've seen with this is the denial or at least ignorance of the most popular news outlet in the country being Fox News, almost as if the right doesn't consider it part of mainstream media. It is, by the very definition, a mainstream media outlet.

To not include Fox News in a 'mainstream media' conversation is to exclude Taylor swift in a mainstream music conversation. Are there many more that are NOT swift? Certainly, but she's a huge player in the game, and so is Fox News.

The factor is insanely popular. And while they may not be as 'for trump' as they were with McCain or Romney, they have been very critical of Hillary. So just be careful when nonchalantly throwing out the MSM buzz word.

Most don't like Clinton. I know I don't. But I don't like Trump either. I am about as conservative as you can get...but if you think the GOP OR the Dems are looking out for your best interests, then you are mistaken.

Well Mr. Life Long Republican, how are you going to feel when Hillary nominates 2-3 ultra liberal supreme court justices who rubber stamp illegal immigration, amnesty, outlawing gun ownership, single payer healthcare, nukes for Iran?
All because Trump isn't cut from the proper cloth? How's that worked for you Mr. LLR? Romney? McCain? Rubio? Cruz?
Hold your nose and vote Republican you pompous arse.

Hillary will be a disaster because she is a rabid war monger and a Wall Street enabler. A continuation of costly wars and mega sized financial fraud will earn billions for a few powerful people but the public cost will be staggering.

Real liberals aren't chicken hawks and they aren't Wall Street enablers. Hillary is more conservative than William F. Buckley ever dreamed of being.

Some of y'all need to pick up a damn history book and turn all the way back to...the 1990's.

LINK

The AWB saved no lives and there is zero corellation between weapons ban and saving life's. In fact, it's the opposite.

There is a very big correlation between minority majority populations / democratic politicians and gun crime....but we can't talk about that.

I'll bet my house against yours (and mine's a hell of a lot nicer) that Hillary does not outlaw gun ownership or nukes for Iran. Stop reading comic books. She also can't do any of the things that you said without approval of Republican controlled Congress. I wouldn't vote for Trump if he was the only one running. I'd rather do without a POTUS than have to look at that idiot on the news every day.

Well, it's technically impossible to know if it saved lives or not. People loved to jump on Frances case when the Bataclan shooting happened but no one can account for times someone wanted a gun but couldn't get one due to price or unavailability, it's undocumented. It's not like a terrorist or bad person reported when they couldn't get a gun, which could have happened plenty of times or none (my bet would be on at LEAST a couple) so you have to go by statistics over time, which the country with the most guns has the most gun related deaths. There's no arguing that because it's just numbers.

It's a moot point now, we're a gun nation and we can't go back. The best we can do is just be as thorough as we can regulating who can legally buy firearms. I don't think any rational people have a problem with strict background and mental health checks sans people with something to hide.

Yeah, should make a fricking amendment that no person with a mental issue like being bipolar or a certified psychopath should be able to walk into a gun shop and get one. I'm sorry if that hurts your red white and blue balls to hear that, but we're not star spangled awesome enough to just let anybody that hears voices in their heads to get guns this easily.

So you want the entire country to put their constitutional right in the hands of a potentially biased health care professional? No thanks. However, since the vast majority of mass shooters have been registered Democrats I'd support banning Democrats from owning any firearms what so ever. See how piss poor ideas work?

If it's true that the elections, the media, climate scientists, etc and now medical evaluators all have some secret liberal agenda then I'd agree with you, I just don't think it goes as deep as that.

I am, however, 100% for our constitutional rights. I just truly don't think that reality is a skewed as others. I've been dead wrong before though.

Do you really believe if a criminal wants a gun he won't be able to get one, because there are restrictions, or illegal? Do you base that on drugs? Alcohol during Prohibition? Drunk driving?

All those were/are outlawed, yet people had no problem obtaining them. One of the arguments made for legalizing drugs is people will get them if they want them, and we are wasting tax dollars trying to police it.

The one trite saying that I agree with is "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."

It's a dumb saying that I normally hate, but it's pretty much true. (yes, I know it will be a long, long time before guns are outlawed)
