Munson. He is a homer as he should be......we coulda done a lot worse.

That’s one thing that you have to love about LM. He was a hired gun who immediately fell in love with UGA. And he absolutely hated UT.

I’ve had many people, not Dawg fans, tell me they didn’t like Munson because he was a homer. I always responded so what? He is an employee of the program. The broadcasts are targeted at fans of the program. It isn’t news. It’s entertainment. Who the hell else but a homer is right for the job?

I’ve listened to a couple of TV broadcasts where they have an unbiased play by play guy and someone from both programs doing color. It’s interesting....but NOTHING like listening to Munson. I don’t know why, with technology as it is, that you can’t choose your teams radio broadcast during a televised game. I’m sure it’s because the tv networks want their talent to have a job because I’d prefer Scott Howard over ANYONE on TV.......

I like Howard ok. I am with others - I think he does better with basketball announcing. They guy I think does a really good job is Zeier. Zeier seems to have come a long way personally since his college days. Was at school the same time and he had a rap as a "cocky bastard." I think UGA, Clemson, and SC all had tough acts to follow. I grew up in Greenville and used to listen to Larry Munson, Bob Fulton(USC), and Jim Phillips(Clemson). All great and legendary announcers.

I'd damn sure rather listen to SH than Beth Mowins.

I'd rather listen to Gilbert Gottfried, Fran Drescher, and Harvey Fierstein than Beth Mowins. Her voice is really grating.
