One member of Georgia’s football recruiting office has been fired and another suspended for 30 days without pay, sources have confirmed to DawgNation.

King
Dacia King, who is listed as the Bulldogs’ recruiting program coordinator on the team’s website, was dismissed. Lukman Abdulai, who is director of on-campus recruiting, has been placed on a 30-day suspension without pay.

The reason for the actions and whether they are related are not known at this time

Yea I don’t think Kirby would take that big of a risk by having them do something too serious

Lukman being suspended is a bad sign. If she was fooling around with recruits it’s an isolated incident. So unless Lukman knew about it and is being punished for not doing something this stinks of violations

Reading between the lines makes it hard to imagine it’s anything too harmless to the program.

If it was something like a sexual encounter between the two, I have to imagine that they either wouldn’t have been publicly punished or the program would have been more (albeit not directly) vocal about why they were being punished.

It smells really bad, which is usually not a good place to start.

If it were an encounter between the two, I don't think it would result in such serious action. (Also, one fired; the other suspended without pay - that wouldn't make sense either under those circumstances).

Took a look at her social media pics. Going to take a wild guess... Maybe she was messing with recruits and or bringing girlfriends/hos to entertain them. Boom...fired after a parent finds out or somebody's got pics.

He was aware but turning a blinding eye...boom...30 day suspension without pay.

Any takers on my theory? Sell me on a better one!

That’s probably the second-best possibility here.

Well...as long as nobody was getting paid and nobody "above" was aware...

Would that be loss of institutional control? Or groupie behavior?

I bet Chip had to stop at least 5 times to “relieve himself” while writing that article

No info on this specifically, but I've seen multiple references this off season to the fact that Clemson has been taking any opportunities to call us in to the NCAA... Up until now, pretty sure it was much ado about nothing, but guess we'll see if they had any impact.

This is either going to suck bigly or be a non-issue. Pretty much nothing in between.

Meh. Everyone turns everyone in for shite ranging from petty to legit big and the NCAA ignores it until it becomes too big and potentially embarrassing to ignore

ETA Clemson isn’t clean by any stretch of the imagination and as we learned today even fricking Northwestern is paying players
