My understanding of punt rules is if the punting team touches the ball before the recieving team, the worst the recieving can do is get the ball where it touched the punting team? Thoughts?

It was very hard to tell from the replay, it kind of looked like it hit our guy 1st, but enough to overturn the ruling on the field

Sucks that it wound up costing us the shutout

It sure looked like it hit 47 first. Either way, Dabo wanted the personal foul call on that other punt return where they roughed us. Our guy clearly committed before they were out of bounds and he did not try to tackle or grab him when they were out of bounds. Dabo looked like he just found out there were going to be other chaperones on his church youth group camping trip. He is such a DB

on one angle it looks like it hits the Clemson player and the ball turns weird after, on other angles it looks like it hits milton. Super hard to tell

It sucked, but it was inconclusive as to whether it hit the Clemson player first. There wasn’t enough to overturn the call on the field.

Even if it hit the clemson player first, it could be argued that he was blocked into the ball (both players were engaged at the time). Per the booth official, that matters as well.

Are we talking about the Milton play? Because that didn't cost the shutout. That led to the Chris Smith interception.

Yes a terrible PI early in a late drive led to the field goal. Play after the botched call on running into the kicker

It is first touching of a punt by K. R would take the ball at the spot of first touching, which is where the BJ dropped his bean bag at.

The PI was the right call there.

Actually both commentators said it was not. Our guy never engaged and turned around, our guy had better position. It was a bad call, just saw it again.

I might be thinking of another play that was definitely DPI on us in the EZ.
