I heard from a couple people inside the program that Park actually looks better, but I don't buy it. I think Ramsey knows he's has every opportunity to win this starting job and will take that mentality into the offseason and improve enough to be a solid QB for us.

Competition breeds success. If Park is doing well, it just helps to push the others to improve more. It's definitely not a bad thing, regardless of whoever gets the nod.

To those commenting that Parks would have received more snaps if he had a better undertanding of the play book, STFU.

Parks requested a redshirted.

He would've gotten "more" snaps.... he didn't get any.

Parks will start IMHO.

Rode in a cab with Marshall Morgan last semester and he said Faton Bauta as he didn't think BR had the It factor. Proof that you can't trust kickers, granted he was pretty blitzed

What's not to buy? The one game you saw them on the same field, who looked like a better QB? Who looked more ready? To me it was Park and he had all of a couple months on campus.

I'm sure we'll be able to tell more from scrimmages than reps, but watching them before the games Ramsey looked like a much better player and Park horrified me with his terrible play in the All-American game. That being said, QBs rarely look good in those games because the DLs are almost always way ahead of the OLs in terms of progression.

I mentioned this above but it bears repeating. In his UA All American game, Ramsey was 5-16 for 64 yards and 3 INTs. As bad as Park played, it was no worse than Ramsey's performance.

Agree with your last point - good quarterback stats come from being in sync with your receivers, which rarely happens in those all star games.

QB is all about timing and confidence. It's hard to get that in an All-Star game. I think his season long highlight tape is a better indicator of his talent.

SC state championship game at Williams-Brice,

Don't think Park played for a state championship....might be wrong. I know in 2012 we eliminated them in the 2nd round. I have seen him play in high school several times and the talent is there, raw...but it's there. He didn't seem to be real comfortable in the pocket and looked sharper when he threw rolling out. He will tuck it and run and is pretty quick for a white....a wanker.

I apologize, I think they did play for state in 2013, forgot they moved outta the Big 16 and into the lil 32 in S.C. Pretty sure they got smoked by Northwestern who's qb is playing at Oklahoma State...and doing good.

Considering Richt started joe Cox for a year and Tereshinski over Stafford (Cox and Tereshinski were not D1 talent) I would say he will start Ramsey no matter what. He is loyal to the senior qb

Cox started for a year while Murray was redshirted and injured.

Stafford ended up starting the third game in the 06 season but had to get benched for Cox during the Colorado game. He won the starting job back and kept it even when JT3 was healthy again.

Richt will start the QB that gives UGA the best chance to win. I thought everyone finally abandoned the "Richt will start the oldest no matter what" once they realize Murray was starting over Mason because he was a better QB and not because he was a senior?

Mason wasn't there before Murray. Tell me when Richt has started a younger qb not due to injury.

So why did Richt start JT3 over Stafford? Because he was better and gave us a better chance to win?

It was a no win situation. Stafford sucked as a Freshman and JT3 wasn't good at all. Sometimes you just have to see how they play and JT3 struggled.

Park was throwing to guys like Myles Autry in that high school game and he did get antsy in the pocket. That being said, Ramsey has looked pretty terrible every time we have seen him other than the extremely strong arm. He still plays really raw. I have a feeling next season is going to be a lot of growing pains.

Unless Shotty is a qb miracle worker it may be very painful

A lot of people kept saying that Murray was struggling and Mason would do better but Richt was only starting Murray because he had seniority on Mason. Those people look pretty dumb now.

Did you really expect Richt to start a true freshman at QB to open the season? Like Floyd said, it was a no-win situation. Starting a true freshman at QB is basically conceding the season from the get go.

Unfortunately, I agree. We will at least have the threat to stretch the field more in the passing game but in return we need to go ahead and accept there's gonna be a decent increase in turnovers.
