Brussels
- eat a sandwich at Tonton Garby and thank me later
- take a day trip to Ghent or Bruges or both via train, beautiful medieval cities with canals
Not defending the decision but I think Kirby liked his chances in overtime against a 3rd-string WR QB and didn't want to pin his hopes on a high-variance 60 Yard FG, especially having one blocked in the same direction earlier in the game. Probably still shook from the kick 6
Spending 8 days in Belgium planning to hit Brussels, Bruges, Ghent, and Antwerp. Setting up shop in Ghent, getting the Go Pass 10 and taking day trips on the train from there. Any must see or off the beaten path activities, bars, and restaurants would be much appreciated. You can reach me at alphadawg2016@gmail.com

You have to go for it there. Kicking the field goal leaves you open to losing the game in regulation. Disappointing that Kirby still wants to play not to lose rather than go for the kill with the best o line in the country
Not set in stone, but haven’t been before so need to check off Brussels and Bruges. I’ve heard great things about Ghent as well so I think those three
You have a trip report you're willing to share? Will be in belgium for ~10 days over thanksgiving

Os bons Malondros in Lisbon. Small place so be sure to make a reservation the day before if possible. You have to try the mojito balls
Correct. His brother is a grad assistant at TCU

The losses will come, especially when we jettison some of our useful veterans in the 2nd half of the season. That Cleveland pick ain't coming this year though. Dallas I'm not too worried about

re: Thoughts on Lecounte?

Lecounte is one of the most bipolar players on this team IMO. He often looks impressive in flying around the ball, but he has also made some absolutely ghastly plays, especially in the LSU game in the 4th quarter. He made Joe Burrow look like the spawn of Jim Thorpe on that 60 yard run
Will be quite the story if his first win back comes at the Tour Championship and he somehow wins the FedEx cup as well.. Anyone have tips on best viewing spots at East Lake? Headed there for tomorrow's round.
I highly recommend checking out Groundfloor, a startup out of Atlanta

I work in corporate development at a large tech consulting firm in the tier below MBB. Echoing above, you'll need to be at a top 25 undergrad and in the top of your class to be even considered for IB or the top tier strategy consulting firms. Being some of the most high profile gigs available out of undergrad, the work/life balance scale tips heavily towards work, especially in the first few years. From what I've seen from my colleagues and friends, the hours in consulting are marginally lighter than IB (60-80 hours/week rather than 80-100). With consulting, you'll be predominantly on the road, which could be a positive or negative depending on the person. Also, consulting is largely project-dependent that can last an extended period of time, so if you get stuck on a terrible project you'll have a much different experience than someone in your starting class who got put on a good client. Both paths offer some of the best exit opportunities in the biz, whether that be in another industry or MBA. My advice would be to start kicking arse yesterday- both in class and extracurriculars. Network and gather as much intel as possible from recent grads to get their experience and see how it aligns with your goals/interests
Zero-click ordering, just wait for it
Trust in Jeff Bezos. Amazon will surpass a trillion dollar valuation once they release zero click ordering. They will start sending you items before you even ask for it in packages along with a return box. I think they are an unstoppable force unless regulation or name-calling from the White House change the narrative
Caught MMJ there for two nights Memorial Day weekend 2016. Was an out of body experience
Invest Like the Best with Patrick O’Shaughnessy. Start with the Josh Wolfe episode and have fun from there
